Divine Insight - By Leaps and Bounds
From the album "Sorrow & Promise"
I really enjoyed this album, and it's got a style that evokes authors like George MacDonald. It's also got this dusty flavour mixed with a garage sensibility.
I didn't hear about them when they were around (2001) but I would have really enjoyed them, I think. Would have spoken to me and given me the kind of compassion I got from hearing "Yours is No Disgrace" by Yes a couple of years later when Jon Anderson sung "if the summer change to winter, yours is no disgrace." . It may have been more of a difficult listen than Yes, though.
Indie prog rock!
The verse at the start is from one of the letters of John in the New Testament. Don't know who is reading it though. Does anyone know?
Also reminds me of Angelis Taliuu a little bit, the solo project of one of the musicians in One Kingdom.
