One of the more unlikely stars of pop 60's music.

Many actors and show business people in the 1960's tried singing and releasing albums to gain more exposure to the general public. Most of these records were terrible to put it mildly. One interesting exception for those of you who are old enough to remember was Gary Lewis. He actually wrote a lot of his own hits and claims to have played on all of his recording. The monkey's and many other bands used a studio band called the Wrecking Crew to do all the music on their albums and TV show. They only sang and did vocal harmonies.
