Background

One of my HK community mates, @kona, has started this torch-relay challenge where participants name and share seven of their favourite songs. @aaronli is in it and did his. I find it fun to do it and more importantly I hope I, as a steemit beginner, can introduce myself to everyone in the community.

我的一位香港社區夥伴, @kona, 開始了這個音樂火炬傳遞的挑戰，參與者命名和分享他們最喜歡的七首歌曲。@aaronli 參與了。我覺得這樣做很有意思，更重要的是，我希望這作為一個起點，我可以向社區上的每一個人介紹自己。

Connection between the song and me

The Cure is a British band active for four decades. Up to now, the band are still alive and kicking and do gigs on occasions. The front man, Robert Smith, has probably been widely known for his dramatic make-up and hairstyle. He has taken much of the limelight quite as a spokesperson of the band.

The Cure是一個活躍四十年的英國樂隊。到現在為止，The Cure還活著，偶爾做演出。主音羅伯特·史密斯（Robert Smith）因其戲劇性的化妝和髮型而廣為人知。作為樂隊的發言人，他已經成為了眾人的焦點。

I was influenced by my host brother fancied the band much (I was staying with a guardian family back in the 90s). Cassettes of the band were loaded to the stereo with volume turned to the maximum that almost crackled all windows in the neighbourhood. I at first had not developed my liking of the band until I heard a song that could best describe my mood. The song - Friday I’m in love (out in 1992), probably fits in your weekend mood well with lyrics explicitly anticipating the arrival of Saturdays and Sundays but not weekdays, definitely.

I longed for weekends so I could be alone snuggling up lazily in the bed or out and about with the family. My life with the family was simple (I mean simple is one does not live in a London-alike metropolis), going to school, doing homework, helping a bit of house chores, going to supermarkets and farm markets for family shopping, watching telly, and eating in. No internet, no video games (we didn’t have), no fancy dining out, and no unnecessary shopping. Routine and activities were so down-to-earth that you may find them mind-numbing.

我渴望週末，所以我可以一個人呆在床上，或者和家人一起出去。我和家人的生活很簡單（我的意思是簡單就是不住在倫敦的大都市），上學，做功課，幫忙做家務，去超市和農市場購物，看電視。沒有互聯網，沒有電視遊戲（我們沒有），沒有外出吃飯，沒有不必要的購物。日常活動是如此簡單。
