Colours of Ostrava 2017, final words

in music •  8 years ago

So I battled through a lot of people sweltering summer weather on Saturday despite a cloudburst, meanwhile, I lost my cell phone, could not shoot and does not further describe things of the Colors of Ostrava, as I promised. Therefore, at least so lately, I will make a few last words from the work computer. Colours of Ostrava, as I promised. Therefore, at least so lately, I will make a few last words from my work computer...

Music

so-so - Colours used to be better than the last two years ...
The best in my opinion were (no order)

LOUIS BERRY (r'n'r peace)

WARHAUS (hilarious thing - something between songsters Nick Cave and Serge Gainsbourg)

ST. PAUL & THE BROKEN BONES (for his commitment and showmanship during a concert)

DONNY MCCASLIN GROUP (for an excellent saxophone, plus a remarkable remembrance of David Bowie)

ROLE (best Czech thing at Colours?...)

...maybe ±0, you already know, and Div-I-ded from Frýdek-Místek

Surprise:

For me certainly Jamiroquai, because his music has always come to me after one of two listenings boring. But there was not here at Colours mainly due to the excellent musicians. In addition what to want from the old man ;-) with navel and tracksuit ...

Best electronic music:

Justice and for somebody else Moderat, as I've heard

The biggest (forgiveness) shit:

Imagine Dragons (no comments)

Best food:

Palavian langos (no exact name in English) - although this queue is not worth it, but what, every year I have to give at least one ;-)

Greatest joy?

When her daughter was incredibly entertained by jumping two cartoon on the chimneys in the Dolni oblast Vítkovic (DOV)

Others:

Alt-J were the ones I expected (fine, but it was not top)

UNKLE Uncle was the boredom escept for this memory of my Radiohead/Thom Yorke delight

People were great, but there were too much of them (to reduce the capacity by at least 1/4 would be fine)...

What to say at the end:

So long Colours 2017...

...Long live Colours 2018!

I am surprised how clear your records are. And Jay Kay is my cup of tea.
