Note 2: The name RazorKutt comes from a hair-style that was trendy at the time these guys started out.

Soon after my partner and I split and I closed the record label, I was lucky enough to be introduced to Kwaito artists Shotgun and Mapensela (aka RazorKutt). I knew right away that I wanted to produce them. They had loads of talent and charisma, worked hard and were a lot of fun to hang out with. We worked together for a couple of years and found some success in the South African market.
As an example of their solid work ethic. . .
After we had finished recording this song and decided that it was a hit, I told the guys that I would edit a music video for them if they could get it shot. Well, I'll be damned if they didn't do just that. They scripted the video and found an up and coming director to shoot it for them. They even got a well-respected comedic actor to play the role of the groom. Make no mistake, Umshado is a shoestring-budget video, but it has heart and humor, just like RazorKutt.
This is just the beginning. I have a lot of RazorKutt to share. Enjoy!
