Two heavy-hitting tracks to get you through the rest of Friday. No nonsense, just killer guitar, bass and drums.
Let's kick things off with The Orwells - Who Needs You. These Illinois indie-rockers sure know how to write a catchy tune, but they aren't afraid to think about the state of America, which is the theme of their album Disgraceland (2013).
Best Lyric - You better save the country / You better pass the flask / You better join the army /I said: "no thank you, dear old uncle Sam!"
Now take my hand and we'll head down to the Mississippi Delta. One of the masters of blues rock, R.L. Burnside is ripping through some absolutely killer riffs in Someday Baby. One of my all-time favourite guitarists, you need to stop what you're doing and listen to this!
Hope u enjoy - Let me know what you think -and feel free to throw your own rockin tracks into the comments!
