Pat Benatar - The Female Voice Of Rock And Roll.

At the age of 28, Pat Benatar was selling millions of records, touring in numerous countries and becoming the female rock star of the Eighties. How could she survive this tremendous success ? Thanks to her love story with guitarist Neil Giraldo.

1979 - Love at first sight and musical collaboration.

Best albums.

Crimes of Passion ( 1980 ).

Precious Time ( 1981 ).

Included in Precious Time the best cover of " Helter Skelter " from The Beatles.

Due to her large range of vocal skills, Pat Benatar started studying classical opera music. It took time for her to " find her voice ". Gifted with a spirit of protest, she decided to turn to rock music to be able to express her ideas. The success of the albums comes from some very inventive harmonics and melodies, real lyrics and an exceptional voice.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it.

For me her music was about freedom rather than a battlefield

In her song " Love is a Battlefield " she was considering that freedom is never given " for free ". Thanks for your comment.

Of course yes that makes sense. I love that song and the video to it, of which I think was quite revolutionary at the time.
