Come on!!!!
Metallica is one of the best bands ever!!!!

Just not my era :)

I'm not a huge fan either but these guys were innovators for their genre. I remember the first time I heard Ride The Lightning on the radio when I was a kid and I was just blown away. I actually remember the night, because I had never heard anything like it before. It was on FM radio on the local late night Metal Show. So fast, and as we called it "crunchy". They paved the way for speed metal, and took thrash mainstream.

Check out the Foo Fighters Documentary on netflix, it's awesome. I have a bit love/hate relationship when it comes to Metallica. i really like the old music a lot, Ride the Lightning, Master Of puppets. The newer material is not really my cup of tea. Although I like Robert Trujillo a lot, already when he played at Ozzy and Suicidal Tendecies. Nowaday's the live performances aren't that good anymore. Lars Ulrich doesn't seem to have it anymore with his (early very good) drumming. He makes himself to easy now (my opinion of course). But they are still one of the best performing (financially) metalbands ever. So that indeed deserves respect...

You mean Back and Forth? I've seen that one. I actually saw Metallica live once as they opened the Freddie Mercury tribute gig at Wembley and I was there. I think they did Enter Sandman which was one I liked. I just never got that into their music.

I can't recall the name, I will look it up for you. But it is the documentary where the make a new song in different places and bars. Really great to see the creative process. You where at the Freddie Mercury Tribute ??? Wow....that whas a great concert. Metallica, Gun's and roses, The version I want it all with Roger Daltrey... Of course George Michael, but also Annie Lenox and David Bowie... If it was yesterday.....Great you where there.... It's a piece of music history..

Ah, that's probably Sonic Highways. We saw a lot of that. I need to catch up on some I missed.

I was lucky to see Queen twice and we managed to get tickets for the tribute gig. Those sort of shows can be a mixed bag. I remember Extreme were good. I've not seen that show in a long while.

Good Idea to watch it again, for me a long time too... Extreme was very good indeed...

South Park did a great pisstake on their Napster 'struggle' at the time. Or was it The Simpsons? One sec...

It's South Park illegally download Metallica episode on youtube!

It definitely was an interesting documentary. It made you realize that they are rockstars but human.

I liked the Kurt Cobain documentary called Kurt & Courtney, although I don’t know if it’s still on Netflix.

I am a fan since i grew up with their music. Maybe will sound as an old guy rant and it feels funny already but that music used to be there to stay. New single and new album would be a major event. And it is still being listened up to this day :)

I may be a bit older, so my heroes were established before Metallica came along. I can appreciate the passion in their music, but keeping that going when you are a millionaire seems to be a struggle

Ofc, hunger always puts more soul into things as you translate your real feelings that are very hard to fake.

I like it when James Hetfield's voice is still small. But some of their songs are so powerful especially when Cliff Burton was still alive. He could have made some more Bass rips for humanity.

How ! The guy has enormous fans .as i dey watch the video ,i saw some equipment i have not seen before.thanks for this exposure .

You ain't my biiiiii-CHAH!
