I remember reading years ago he had Alzheimer's and he was so brave.. I believe he toured after finding out. what a devastating disease... I kept seeing this but did not know it said he died until moments ago..he will be missed.. I used to live not far from Galveston, Texas.. one of the songs he was famous for.. I grew up listening to his music. Thanks for posting @steevc

My folks listened to a lot of country. Glen Campbell was one of my favorites and I would sing along too. Try A Little Kindness was our favorite...at least my mother would play it when her 5 boys were getting screechy. ~smiles~

Not a huge country fan but I am sad to hear this. Actually its odd he just died because I just found these in a box of records someone was tossing. Couldn't not hold onto them. His name rings bells in music history. rip
