On December 23, 1956, David Murray, Iron Maiden's guitarist and song writer, was born in Britain. David is one of the founders of Iron Maiden and he worked on all the band's releases to date. He joined Iron Maiden in 1976, yet he was kicked off the band for 6 months, before rejoining in the spring of 1978; since then, David Murray never left the band.
David's guitar soloing technique was characterized by prominent "legato" which is marked by complex use of "pull-offs", "hammer-ons" and string bending."The tropper" is one of Iron Maiden's great songs that illustrate David's unique "legato" soloing style.
