Covers #1 and covers #2 generated a bit of interest...in fact enough for me to carry on with some more.
Two brilliant guitarists slug it out on this classic
The incomparable Jimi Hendrix performing Voodoo Chile from his album Electric Ladyland released in 1968. Yes you youngsters... you read that correctly. Next year this tune will be half a century old... and here we all thought Beethoven and Mozart were enduring
Stevie Ray Vaughan performing Voodoo Chile ... the man was taken far too soon
Fundi's ..feedback appreciated. both brilliant in my opinion with me possibly appreciating the raw JH version to the extremely polished SRV...but both oh so listenable....CRANK IT UP STEEMIANS!!!
I prefer the Stevie Ray version. Have not heard this in a long time. Keep refreshing the memories. Thanks.

Both awesome but Jimi is my favourite - in this he has no band and no video, but each note just sort of twists and distorts - he had something extra!

Agreed, although at the time there was so much innovation and great musicians around at the time, he stood out. His rendition of Star Spangled Banner live was awe inspiring.....
