Expanding from two to three days and moving from Bayfront Park to Hard Rock Stadium, Rolling Loud proved that bigger is better in 2018. With over 140 artists performing during an action-packed weekend, Rolling Loud is a hip-hop mecca, with fans and artists of all generations gathering to celebrate great music. The final day of the festival brought us thrilling performances from Future, Rick Ross, Post Malone, Juicy J, Lil Yachty, Action Bronson, and many others.

Rolling Loud Festival is one of rap’s premier music festival experiences. The festival was the brainchild of co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matthew Zingler, who began organizing shows in 2010. The two created Rolling Loud Festival in 2015 as a one-day festival for 6,000 attendees. Three years later, the festival’s Miami chapter has expanded into a three-day event, and the festival started its worldwide expansion with events in Southern California and the Bay Area in 2017.

Lil Wayne’s scheduled set at Rolling Loud Miami on Sunday, May 13 was abruptly canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”Gucci Mane was also a no-show at the Miami festival. Cardi B also canceled her scheduled appearance, along with a string of tour dates, due to her pregnancy. YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Kevin Gates were also unable to make it to Miami due to legal issues regarding traveling. (YoungBoy was recently indiccted for assault and kidnapping, while Gates is currently out on parole after serving nine months for felony gun possession.)

Rick Ross has had fans worried about his health over the last few weeks, but all those worries disappeared the minute Rozay set foot on the High Hemp Stage. The bawse walked out to greet his fans looking slimmer than ever before. While rocking a custom black and red basketball jersey with “Wade” on the back, Ross neglected to rock his signature shades, which allowed us to catch his face genuinely light up as thousands of fans chanted his name.
