Raconteur of life (s), grain of voice to the tuning fork, Jofroi, it is solid!

Well tanque in his land of adoption, the Gard, Cévennes, France, this great Belgian obeys the fine definition that was given by his Québécois friend Felix Leclerc, that of "man who sings".

And who sings for us, his human brothers, the joys, sorrows, anger, hopes we share, like the taste for the feast and the incoercible longing for justice, peace, harmony Between beings and things.

There is strength, simplicity, humility in his words and in his voice that is grave and warm, vibrant, engaging.

There is Jofroi in Jofroi. That is to say a careful writing, a poetry to tear your soul from the overhang of humanism, the generosity of man, fraternity. Each song is a touch of humility and a look to others.

I began to sing with Jofroi during village festivals, in Mehaigne, Namur region in Belgium.

We were a group of 14 singers, all of them from the village. We worked with him for a few years before making a CD: the red dress.

We also toured France, it was wonderful.

Then one day, he went to France in the Cévennes, in Cabiac .........
