A while ago I wrote this post about Jaco Pastorius ( you can find it here). Jaco was (or is) the true basslegend for many of us who loves music.
In that post I wrote that the son's of Jaco were involved in music themselves. And they still are, in fact Felix (on the right on the picture) is one great bassplayer himself. I guess he inherited the gift of his father. Julius is a drummer and far as I know not very busy anymore with music.
When I was at the Jaco tribute in Amsterdam in 2002 they both were there and it was great to see both kids. (The picture is from that event). And they got to play a little for us..
I wans't really impressed at that time because it looked more or less like some kids who tried to play some music but where to shy and nervous to perform. But that didn't matter, they were the kids of the mighty Jaco...
I did follow Felix on Facebook after some years and noticed that he really got the hang of bassplaying and that he really improved himself on the instrument. He followed the Victor Wooten camps which was all in favor of inproving bassplaying, and he got some great results...

Later on I read that Felix got a endorsement with Fodera, coincidental? Cause Victor is also endorsed by Fodera
Nevertheless as you can see in the video's he is also a awesome bassplayer. I love looking at his style of playing. Do you see the resemblance with his father?
I think Jaco would be proud of his kids, it's a shame he isn't able to see them both....
