7-DAYS MUSIC WAYBACK CHALLENGE: DAY 7 - HALF A HEART BY ONE DIRECTION

in musicwaybackchallenge •  6 years ago

So now, it's the end of the tunnel, the finale of the 7-Day wayback music challenge, which undoubtedly took more than seven days to complete. Nonetheless, we made it to the last day, and I'm glad all the songs I picked were loved by all those who listened to them.

So it's DAY 7 of the #musicwaybackchallenge and if you have been with me so far, you'd know that this challenge is geared towards you sharing music you heard from you high school or college years, how you got to hear about it and what that song meant to you.

So for the last day, the song I'd be picking is HALF A HEART by One Direction. It was my second year in Senior high school and around the time of my peak love for boy band and rock music. All my friends were people who also had a common interest in such music. I had this music box and a memory card from one of my friends which had songs from many different artists, but consisted mainly boy band and rock songs. We heard the half a heart song whiles playing music one time, and I initially developed the interest in it.

Well I started singing it over and over, wherever and whenever i could. Initially the other guys got fed up with the song because of me constantly singing it and they'll usually throw a fit to get me to stop singing. However, as many of you would not know, I've got a great voice and I could add the emotions of someone In love to the song that very soon they were all arrested by the song. All the guys who kept hearing me sing the song, about seven of them. Sometime after , any time I raised the song , I'd have these guys back me as if we were on stage. It was as if I had infected all of them with a virus called "Half a heart". Seriously, anytime I started singing it in the dorms, they'll immediately tag along and back me wherever they knew the lyrics. It was a really interesting sight to see a group of guys singing a particular love song as if they were all into one girl. Even years later, after we left school, they'd occasionally ask me for the mp3 of the song, or the title of the song. It was a really interesting time.

So there you have it, the last of the songs I had to plough through my memory lane for. I hope you all like this one too. Thanks a lot to @rickie for nominating me for this challenge. It was really fun. I'd start preparing the materials for my next challenge. Thanks a lot to @bloghound and @leeart for being with me throughout the challenge. You guys have been of great support ever since I met you. Much love to you all.

SO for the last day I'd like to nominate @leeart. He has a great taste in music and I'm sure we'd be pleased by all the songs he shares with us.

The Rules Of The Challenge are:
