Feelings are of course a gift from God. We would just be robots if there were no feelings. Feelings makes us who we are. God never intended for us to just be species of choice. He needed that we could act and do things based on our perceptions.

Perceptions evoke feelings. Feelings are what even distinguishes us from lower creatures. It is our feelings that makes us.

So, much like God made us with different attributes, He also wanted for us to have feelings.
