No. Arbitrary (casual) sex happens regardless. And have been happening for as long as we can remember. If anything, finding a cure for AIDS will make for a better society since there wont be too much stigma towards people with AIDS, which I think is a much bigger issue than the disease itself. Sex will happen without encouragement, it's coded in our DNA. It helps everyone more to educate one another to practice safe sex as well as the respect of consent as that will make for a better society than making it a taboo subject.

Don't get me wrong, I come from a conservative South East Asian society too. But I know that allowing conversation on "sensitive" matters like these are far more helpful. People will have sex no matter what, trying to stop other people from doing it is futile. It's much more damaging to keep it under the lid than regard it as casual. Education spells the difference between 2 teens trying out safe sex and teen pregnancy which damages the society in the long run.

On another note, your question represent a logical fallacy called the Slippery Slope fallacy, which is one of the errors on logical reasoning, Where you assert that "If A happens, then Z will happen too. Yes. People will still have sex. And do. Google "swinger clubs" or "seedy bars".

Attempting to stop people from doing such only drives such behavior more underground and reduces chances for testing and prevention of STD transmission.

(Just as an aside, condoms are not 100% effective)

The biggest issue right now is that there is not enough stigma in regards to being a non-tested person. Everyone even if only occasionally having any type of encounter (condoms or not) should be getting full and correctly done STD screenings every 3 to 6 months. (Where full means multiple diseases checked for and correct means including both throat and anal swabs)

In regards to the statement about "a cure for HIV" I would like to point out that at this time we do have a major weapon against at least HIV type 1 spread called PrEP. There is a pill which if taken once a day, (and you can't skip doses), which is effective > 99.9% at preventing infection. If this were made more widely available, in combination with much more regular testing, while the disease wouldn't be cured or eliminated, the rate of infection could be dropped dramatically. No, I don't believe that the fear of getting AIDS is really stopping anyone from having arbitrary sex anyway. It's super easy to get not AIDS: just wear a condom! Even if the condom breaks, the chances of getting AIDS is extremely low; the virus-infected sperm would have to make its way to the blood of the recipient in some manner. This means that you would have to get a small cut in your skin that is interacting with the sperm.

The only common way to get AIDS is by having unprotected anal sex with someone that is infected by AIDS/HIV. So just wear a condom, and maybe don't sleep with people who have AIDS, and you will be fine.

So I don't think a treatment for AIDS will chance anyone's behavior towards arbitrary sex.

As a side not, why would more arbitrary sex be bad? Why should we care about how many people other people have sex with?

Herein lies one of the cultural difference between the more progressive West and the conservative East.

There are still cultures that exist where sex is regarded as something dirty taboo. And as a person who comes from such a culture, I can say that technology is not the main driver of cultural change because a person might have the latest smartphone and the fastest internet connection, that does not directly make said person more progressive and open minded...

I don't think it would anymore than birth-control or antibiotics did. There are more ways to contract AIDS than just by having sex. If sex were the only way to contract it, maybe, but again, that doesn't seem to be the case with other STD's and the ability to treat/cure them with antibiotics.

Well in my own opinion i think that if the cure to HIV/AIDS is discovered then it will be a good news to the world but also it would make some certain people to engage more in arbitary sex because they now feel that even if they are infected they can easily get cured unlike before when they were very careful when having sex because they do not want to get infected with a deadly disease like AIDS that has no cure...

On a serious note i don't think so. Why do i say so? I don't believe there is a normal person out there that likes to be confined in a hospital because he or she is sick. Even with the availability of drugs for so many diseases nowadays, how many people will deliberately engage in activities that will predispose them to picking up diseases? None.

From a personal level, being sick is a terrible thing and i hate it. So even if there was a cure out there for AIDS, I will not go about messing up just to be cured later. Not for someone that knows what it is to be sick and the feelings and restrictions it brings. So i don't think a treatment for AIDS will encourage arbitrary sex, i mean safe measures of preventing cross transmission are already available and people use them daily so on a higher note, it is these safe measures that have will and have increased arbitrary sex for me.

I think it exists in some places but not everywhere. I can only give my perspective from my country, Singapore.

In Singapore, people are given equal opportunities regardless of gender. Gender discrimination is uncommon at workplaces. For occupations that are traditionally done by males (e.g. army and police), we also see a good number of females. In fact, we just got a female head of Criminal Investigation Department in our police force.

I think, it does exist at many places, especially at least in developed and most of the developing countries. However, personally, I do not like the fact that, women are asking for an equality, where they should be actually treated more than the male counterparts. Because, they do have more patience, more capability and everything else compared to male counterparts, except may be strength. So they deserve more than equality.

I don't think there can be a black and white answer to this.

There are ofcourse positive things feminism has brought and will bring, but also strange hardliners with weird opinions. Sadly often the later are the ones shouting the loudest(online) and claiming to represent feminism. At least this is my subjective feeling about this topic in the last few years.

To conclude: you should think carefull about everything you read and segregate bullshit from valid topics. E.g. racism against white men that came up lately is clearly bullshit while topics like women rights are often valid for some countrys.

If a project holds that many tokens then it is difficult for me to trust them. This is not necessarily due to the fact that they might dump it in the future. Who knows that these tokens might actually be planned to be used for a newer project....

My reason for distrust come from the fact that the this kind of percentage holding is against the core philosophy of decentralization. Historically it has been shown that too much power concentration in one area will breed trouble for later.

This is one of the areas where I am not comfortable buying in the project even when I see that it has a sound team and technology. Another factor is the fear of these tokens being scammed away from the project. Even if the team is good but they are still susceptible to scams and phishing and hacking like all token holders. One percent tokens getting stolen might hurt the project but thirty percent might kill it.

I would not necessarily distrust it; the amount of tokens held by a single organization or individual could potentially cause havoc to the coin/token, but in most cases this won't happen. Steemit Inc. holds a huge amount of Steem, so I guess we are kind of in this situation here. Luckily it will take them 13 weeks to Power Down all of it at least.

So I can definitely trust such a project, but it will be a bit more difficult to get my trust compared to if this was not the situation.

Why is STEEM worth more than 5$ on Bithumb?

I've seen the same old situation play out so many times now and it's getting boring. Deposits and withdrawals of Steem on Bithumb are blocked, all while the price is skyrocketing (currently 5,15$). This has bothered me for the longest time and I even asked about it through a post on Steemit a couple months back but, no one seemed to know what is really going on other than the obvious, that the price is being manipulated.

So, for my first time using Musing.io I would like to ask you the following questions:
How is it possible that on one exchange Steem is worth 7x more than anywhere else?
Who is responsible for the massive price increases on Bithumb?
Why are they doing it?
How is it affecting the overall price of Steem?

I'm looking forward to getting your opinions and finally getting to the bottom of this!

Oh, yeah, and tell me please if I'm doing this wrong. Maybe I shouldn't ask more than one question or I'm using the wrong format. If so please notify me about it.

Your question is detailed and needs a complete answer. I believe that I can answer a part of the reason why Steem prices are trading at 7x times the market price.

The thing is that at the moment Bithumb has 85 percent of the trading volume of steem but at the same time you cannot deposit or withdraw Steem from Bithumb.

This has lead to a complicated situation, where speculators are taking advantage of the situation. This means that with high volume of tokens are being traded at place where the supply is low (due to wallet lock down). This has resulted in jacked up prices and higher price volatility. The speculators are feeding this volatility make day trading gains, which in turn is pumping the price.

My answer could not answer your specific questions, however I will express my opinion.

In a decentralized system I believe that this is possible to happen, manipulation of supply and demand to affect prices for specific purposes. I do not think it affects the value of steem globally. I do not look with good eyes either. Transparency should be the premise to follow.

I think that with SMT steem it will be able to rise again and stay.

I don't think, AI is going to create more jobs. However, I may be wrong. Because that has been predicted by non other than Gartner , they say, AI will create 2.3 million jobs, while it takes away 1.8 million jobs by 2020. You can see this link :

So that puts a gain in terms of statistics, but we never know. We will need to only wait and see what happens in 2020.

On a side note, I think, we are slowly moving to a time, where AI or bots are slowly going to control major part of our lifestyle and that's not going to be good. Because , all these will definitely be at a cost to our mother nature, and there will be a hard time, when it will retaliate. No AI will ever be able to built that capacity, to alter nature's course, whatever best intelligence they may built, even be it on quantum computing.

Yes! Emergency contraceptive pills, most popular of which is the Plan B MAP are very harmful. It is not suggested you take them more than once because they have serious side effects.

We will continue evolving but not in a way you might expect it. Not in the natural way. How we will evolve in the future is, that we will probably be made to, in a way connect to with the "cloud "(highly advanced AI governed database). Neural links that will enable us to connect to the cloud have already been made but, they have serious bandwidth issues. Meaning, that it's already possible to connect our brain to a database but, the transfer of information is so slow that it's useless. Over time, this issue will be fixed and we will be made want to connect to the cloud. But why would anyone ever want to do that? Imagine the power of having the knowledge of Google and every single piece of information that exists on the internet without having to use a mobile or desktop device to search for it first. Imagine just thinking about any question you could possibly imagine and the correct answer coming up to you in a second. Connected to a never ending "cloud" of knowledge, the limits of what humans can do will be bent and twisted.

When this happens it will be hard to say no to connecting to the "cloud"

But I highly advocate that you never do it because even though it's going to be very useful and everyone will do it. It is going to be used for brainwashing and mass mind control. Let me start like this, hair colour is determined by a particular chemical called melanin. Now every strand of hair stems from a hair follicle and every hair follicle contains a certain amount of pigment cells and these pigment cells are what produce melanin.

Now the thing is, the older we get the weaker our bodies become and thus the pigment cells begin to weaken as well and die. As the pigment cells start dying, the amount of melanin produced begins to reduce and as a result, the hair begins to lose its colour.

Due to the lack of melanin, the hair begins to turn gray or white and eventually just about all your hair will become like that. It's a natural process and cannot be avoided.

Anger is actually normal. It's the normal human reaction to displeasure or discomfort.

What matters is how you act and the direction you channel your anger to.

Anger has seen many new inventions birthed. People have rided on the anger from being looked down on and have gone on to make edifical successes.

In the same vein, anger has destroyed many lives, scattered families and even landed people behind prison bars. It's an issue that should be dealt with and that's why I'm grateful you came up with this issue.

First, I think perspective should be one of the first thing one considers. What I'm about to propose may be difficult but it is certainly achievable.

What's I've come to learn how to do is put myself in the individual's position, in his shoes. That is, if the anger is caused by someone and not just anger at a thing.

The truth is that's there are reasons why people act the way they do act. If you could do this and learn to come up with excuses for people's actions, you'll be better able to control yourself.

Questions I like to ask my self are

¶ What if he's been having a bad day?

¶ What if he's just got heart broken?

¶ What if her boyfriend just dumped her?

¶What if she's been having some really hard times?

¶What if she's just been diagnosed with an incurable disease?

¶What if he suffers from a stress-related disorder?

These questions would help to pacify your anger. You should try to find out why people act the way they do before taking reactions.

I remember a quote I read somewhere sometime ago that has helped me. It says "First understand then criticize."

It meant to never be judge until you're certain about the truth. The same applies for anger. Try to always understand the reason for people's behaviour, if possible, make excuses for them.

The truth is anger not only harms the one you're angry at but also you the individual. It spoils your mood and prevents you from moving forward. So, it would do you good to excuse them so you could move ahead.

Another thing I like to do is prevent the problem all together. How? you may ask.

Well, the truth is that we get disappointed which leads to anger when we had expected someone to act differently. In a nutshell, you set high standards for them. The solution? Lower the standards.

That's exactly what I do. I try to keep at heart always the fact that humans are exactly what they are, humans.

Humans aren't perfect and so shouldn't be expected to be. Everyone falters at some point. It's what makes humans unique. There can be no saying that one person would deliver with the same exactness at all times. So, I lower the bar for everyone.

If someone promises to buy me new shoes, I already imagine the scenario in my mind where he doesn't buy it. It makes me less disappointed if he indeed doesn't buy it. If he does, I'll be happier for it.

Then to deal with anger, try to count one to ten. I know this may sound cliché but it actually works. If after ten you're still angry, then count to hundred.

What this does is that it gives you time to think about the consequence of your actions. You can guage the result of throwing that bottle at him or ramming the knife into his chest or better still, smashing that television on the ground. Always think consequences before action.

Awareness (mentalizing): Aggressiveness can be a learned response since childhood that is conditioned (associated) to certain situations by the meaning we give them, ie a child can learn to respond aggressively if this is what he sees in his environment (without this being an excuse). Generally, in its origin, aggressiveness was an adaptive response (it had a function) but it has probably been generalized to other situations in which it has lost its usefulness.

Philogenetically it was also adaptive in other times: to defend ourselves from predators, to protect the social group and to avoid threats.

It is important to understand the problems that this behavior causes today and its little usefulness in the present. We must be well aware of this in order to control it. Aggressiveness never (almost never) solves anything and will only lead us to feel worse and aggravate the problem. We must have this very clear to begin with.

We must try to know where our anger comes from, accept it as part of the human being that we are and understand ourselves with it, all this is fundamental to control it. Anger is a normal emotional response, we all feel it in certain situations, but we do not all know how to handle it the same. We must know how to answer the question why we feel so irritated before a certain person or situation and keep in mind that we can not make change the way of being, thinking or acting of others, we can not change their behavior (hence the frustration). Knowing that we will not be able to avoid those situations or those people that irritate us, so it would be smarter for us to assume it in part and work with our own reaction (which is within our reach).

Specific techniques:

If the situation is avoidable (it doesn't give us anything) we can simply avoid those situations.

Make a list of situations that provoke reactions of anger and aggressiveness and avoid them. This point is only useful for very specific situations and really implies avoiding the problem rather than confronting it. For example, specific cases such as in my case to avoid seeing images of bullfights because they make me very irascible. It is something I don't really need to do with what I can simply avoid. We must be careful and only apply this point in specific situations. We cannot go around the world avoiding everything.

In general my advice is to get used to the anxiety of these situations and not avoid the discomfort they cause. The more we avoid the discomfort or emotions caused by a situation, the stronger they become because we never get used to them nor can we look for alternatives to face them.

If the situation is not avoidable (almost always), we should train ourselves in coping:

Training ourselves in the detection of reactions in order to act before they take hold of us: detecting agitated breathing, frowning, tight lips, very open or very closed eyes, tightly closed fists, hand sweat, increased heart rate... and also looking at our aggressive thoughts, and our feelings. Here it is also useful to have a list of anger behaviors and the situations that provoke them (antecedents) in order to be able to detect the reaction early before it appears, in order to be "alert" to our reactions. This point is based on self-observation and recognition.

If anger takes hold of us, we can temporarily move away from the situation that provokes that feeling and return to it when we are calmer. This works very well in discussions. It is a "time-out" (or time out).

We must get used to these situations, accept them as part of everyday life and not try to control them, but measure our reaction to them. What surrounds us and people escape our control and it is something that must be accepted, one can only change oneself (and this in itself usually produces certain positive changes in the environment, although this should not be our goal). Be always in the present moment, which is where you can evaluate what is happening, so you can be aware of what is happening in the present, and not respond to old offenses or problems that may occur in the future (this distorts tremendously our ability to judge). Do not take out "the trunk of memories" in every discussion.

Cognitive restructuring is useful: modification of cognitive schemes (ways of thinking or perceiving things) that lead to disproportionate and inappropriate thoughts for situations and help anger appear more quickly. For example, we are very likely to think that people do it on purpose, that we are wasting time, that we are not valued, or that we are not respected. Attributing intentional actions to people without them being applicable will only cause the situation to escalate very quickly. We must try to avoid giving meaning to what others do. They don't come late to annoy us or change our plans because they don't respect us, for example, but rather they are everyday situations of daily life that we have to live with when relating to other people.

Sometimes it can be useful to try to put ourselves in the other's place, in the most objective way possible: How will that person be evaluating our reaction? How can she have come to behave like that?

When aggressiveness has already appeared there are some useful exercises to distract our attention from what we feel momentarily and regain control. The question is to distract attention from the distorted thoughts that cause aggressiveness and avoid aggressive response, whenever possible should replace this aggressive response with a more adaptive. Aggressive response should be avoided, but not the situation that causes it unless it is unavoidable because of the risk of doing something we regret. These techniques should be trained to automate and do them first when we are not angry.

Count to 10 and don't speak until we've calmed down, recite the alphabet backwards, think of something else. Breathe deeply and slowly a couple of times.

Instead of breaking things or arguing: taking a cold shower, hitting a pillow, exercising for half an hour, etc...

Look for something to do that distracts us: clean, read, watch a movie and resume the problem when we are calmer.

The ideal is to expose ourselves to the situation, analyze it as rationally as possible and think as another person would see it, put ourselves in the other person's place and consider alternative options to the distorted thoughts that cause anger. For example, making a list of possible answers or solutions, with their pros and cons (evaluating consequences, resources, probability of success...) and committing to the most appropriate one can help us to obtain a more rational control of the situation.

We can make a list of reassuring phrases and repeat them in moments of anger or write down notes or advice on what to do in these situations. Behavioral scripts are also useful: For example, when this happens to me, I'm going to follow this script that says I'm going to do this, this and this, regardless of how I feel. An example is, you have a discussion with friends and you lose control, the script says: I am not in control of the situation then I apologize for my behavior, I express my desire to postpone the discussion for another time, I manifest my disagreement but also that I respect the opinion of others. If that doesn't work, I can excuse myself to go to the bathroom and take a deep breath or say that I'm going out to get some air, smoke, etc... (everyone does the script as best they can). As we see, the key to success is to commit completely to the script, without letting anger make us reason at all.

Expectations are one of the factors most associated with anger. Avoid having excessively high expectations about others or about situations. Each person has different values. Everyone acts according to their values but cannot expect others to do the same.

Being aware of our interests in different situations, because impulsive behavior becomes an emotional discharge that we are not really interested in because it will not allow us to get what we want, it actually sabotages our control over the situation.

Meditation is a technique widely used in emotional control and to focus on the present and as a daily practice can greatly help people with problems of aggression and anger.

Relaxation techniques are the most effective both in prevention (daily habits) and in the solution or coping at the time of anger. The most commonly used are abdominal breathing, Jacobson's progressive muscle relaxation and Shcultz' autogenous training.

Thus, we will gradually begin to delay the aggressive response progressively. Trying not to obey the impulsive response. So until we manage to control it. At first it will cost a lot and maybe we only manage to spend short periods of time without it appearing or reduce its intensity but we should not be discouraged, all the way starts with a step, no matter how small it is.

Steem used to be "just" a blogging platform for me, but it has evolved a lot in the two years that I have been using it. It no longer feels like a blogging platform at all, but instead a blockchain of all types of dapps, including a few blogging dapps (Steemit, Busy etc.).

Some of the other things we can do on the Steem blockchain includes:

- Play games! Steemmonsters and Steemgar allows us to play games on the Steem blockchain, and I'm sure there will be many more dapps to follow in the next few years. We have no transaction costs and a quick block rate (3 seconds), so Steem is a good fit for games.

- Photos. There are a few photo apps for Steem, including Steepshot that is trying to pick a fight with Instagram. Just imagine when Instagram users learn that they can get paid for the likes they receive!

- Send and receive coins. Let's not forget that Steem is an amazing blockchain itself, even without the blogging part. Very few blockchains let you send money as cheap and quick as Steem, and one of the best parts is that we can send to a username, and not some 64 character long random string!

And there are many other types of dapps out there. So in my opinion, the Steem blockchain is so much more than just a blogging platform, and dapps like Musing, Steepshot, Steemmonsters etc. all prove this. Blogging is just the tip of the iceberg.

For the sake of clarification of my own answer - Steem is not a blogging platform. Steemit is a blogging platform built on top of the Steem blockchain. Other platforms and Dapps like musing.io, Dlive, Dtube are the same way

Coming to the question at hand - Yes, I do believe that Steemit is still very much a blogging platform. On the other hand I also think that other Dapps and platforms like musing.io, Dtube, etc. will sooner or later take over Steemit. This means that when Steem goes truly global, it would be because of the emerging Dapps. I also think that Steemit will always be there, serving as the backbone that brings all the dapps together.

My perspective about quality posts ave changed over time. Now I believe that it is not just about quality but rather building community relationships through good content. Earlier when I came to the Steemit platform I though that creating excellent content is paramount for success. Then I realized that no matter the greatness of the content I create, I would always find something better on the internet. Same went for the other posts on Steemit as well. Gradually I realized that I would much rather have friends here, rather than 'colleagues' who create good content.

I am here to be a part of this community by creating interaction and engagement through decent content. I am not just about quality content anymore. I am about quality engagement and having a good time doing it.

Before I got to know the difference between Steem and Steemit as well as got introduced to other Dapps like DLive,Dtube,Steepshot etc... I honestly treated Steem as a social media "blogging" platform as it was marketed that way by many people.

Most if not all my posts back then where always around 500+ words as I think that people consider that as a basis for quality and thus possible upvotes(since it is a blogging platform) of course I was wrong.

Over time my opinions and thoughts about the Steem blockchain changed. It changed to one that will probably replace all the social media platforms in existence but instead of getting "pure likes" we are being incentivized by participating.

Also my opinions on what quality is changed and what I think will make this platform grow. Truth be told I am in the minority who thinks that in order for Steem to grow, people should be really free to post whatever they want, just like they do on Facebook, Twitter, etc.. There is just too much policing lately on Steem striving for quality that people are leaving the platform as they feel intimidated.

Yes the payout varies accordingly to the internal price of Steem, known as Feed Price, which is a 3.5 days moving average of market Steem Price.

Scenario, let's do away with curation and beneficial rewards, and assume your post has a $1 pending author payout. Assuming today is the 7th day and the Feed Price is exactly $1. You will receive 1 Steem as payout.

Same scenario, but this time the Feed Price is $2. Now you will receive 1/2 = 0.5 Steem. Actually, you receive 0.25 Steem and 0.25 Steem power. Things get a little complicated when the blockchain starts printing SBD. Let me know if you need information on that.

Another thing to note, the pending payout is also dependant on the Feed Price.

Scenario, assuming you had just created a post and it has a pending author payout of $1, and the Feed price is $1. But at the 7th day, the Feed Price increased to $3. Your pending author payout will follow and increase too (the $ value that you see on your steemit post). Men!!!! Oh they confuse me so much. What I don't understand about men is their underlying urge to be unfaithful. I know it's a bad thing to throw all men into this category but I think it's necessary(my apologies to all the good guys out there). Ive been cheated on, my friends have been cheated on, heck, my dad once cheated on my mom, it's something that confuses me so much.

The annoying thing about it is that 9/10 times they actually love the women they're dating, but some magical urge or spirit comes over them and they just go off and find some halfwit bimbo to sleep with. I wish I understood the logic behind this, but alas I don't think I ever will.

I don't think people actually hate the rules. What I think they hate is having to be kept under restriction.

The greatest of all human need is the need to be free. Nobody wants to be molested into doing something.

And if you've noticed. There's something to that the law does. It brings the consciousness of wrong into play. I also believe there's an innate tendency for everyone to break the law just that some people have mastered how to control themselves.

For example, if I leave a book on a table, there's a probability that no one would touch it especially if it's a boring topic but if I give an instruction that no one should touch it, it provokes a feeling of dissatisfaction in people. They would just want to touch it to see what would happen. That's the case with the law.

The law itself is not bad as without the law there would be chaos. However, I think the law propels people with no self control towards a direction. It thrills some people to break the law.

I don't understand the rationale behind that. I'm no psychologist but I do know for a certain that the law provokes disobedience.

I think it's a psychological thing. Human beings generally don't like being constrained and that's exactly what rules do. I can think of a number of reasons why humans hate rules, some of them include;

1. Rules hinder creativity

2. Rules generally only favour the people that set them not other people

3. Rules may clash with people's personal beliefs

4. People sometimes feel like they shouldn't be told how to behave

5. Some rules cause more harm than good on the long run

5. Some rules don't agree with people's culture

6. Rules are too rigid

In my own perspective, I don't think relationship has to do with age, this is where people made mistake, especially when lady is older than the guy. What matter most is the love. I have seen many couples which the wives are older than the husbands but they are living happily. One of the reason that people don't like it is that they think the so lady won't respect the guy which it is not so. One of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) wife khadija(R.T.A) is much older than him and she always respect him despite being rich already. There are many marriages out there with man older than his wife but the marriage won't last for a month . So my conclusion is that love is what matters most. If you love a older lady, ask her out.

Firstly, our mentality has to change as Africans.

We say we are independent of the west but the truth is that we are not. Our actions only portray our dependence on them. We need to carry that mentality that we can survive on our own and make use of what we have to develop ourselves not running to them for everything.

Secondly, we also need to value ourselves be it im education and the proffessionals we have in Africa. There is no need training professionals in Africa and then when contracts are available we call foreign companies to handle them. That means we don't even value what we have or the people we train here in Africa.

Thirdly and most importantly, African countries have a terrible record of political leadership. The wrong leaders are the principal reasons why most african countries continue to sink in poverty. Democracy is a thing of theory in Africa and most leaders voted in most at times are forced out of power. We need to develop and follow democracy as a method of political rule. Leaders should be voted in and they should leave when their term expires so that maybe what they could not achieve, another can give it a try too.

In this world of ours, education is very key and a degree holder is more liable to get job, especially a white collar job. Hardly will you see a company throw out vacancy without attaching the level of qualification an applicant must possess before applying.

I'm not saying an expert self taught computer scientist can get a job but mostly its jobs that doesn't require educational qualifications they get.

For example, it doesn't take any educational qualification for any developer to join steemdevs discord channel and you can land yourself a job there as a developer from project owners not minding your qualifications, So far you are good at what you do there is no limitation.

However, having degree helps in most cases to secure a better opportunity.

Keeping a job: depends more on motivation, so both stand a chance. Companies will much more appreciate a self-thaught employee that is really motivated, than the highest degree unmotivated employee.

The rainbow is only showing when light is put trough a prism or another object that can reflect, refract, and disperse the light source. Typically this object is rain drops when you see rainbows out in the "wild" / non-laboratory setting.

It's important to keep in mind that it's not just the 7 colors that are reflected in the rainbow - the entire color spectrum is shown. We as humans are limited to only see the seven main colors, but animals that has a wider color spectrum sensors can actually see more colors in each end of the rainbow. One end goes into the infrared colors, while the other end goes to the UV colors.

The rainbow also shows all the gradients between each of the seven main colors, but these can be difficult to see for yourself without a way to zoom into the rainbow.

There is a lot more to tell about rainbows, but it quickly delves into the world of particle physics, and I'm not comfortable going any further. We got some great physicists here on the Steem blockchain, so one of them might be able to give a better explanation than I did.

Rainbows do not have only 7 colours.

Technically, a rainbow consists of ALL the colours your eyes are capable of seeing, and more. A rainbow is a natural occurrence where light from the sun gets refracted by the atmosphere and (i'm super-boiling the physics down to simple analogies here) since sunlight is made up of many many photons traveling at different wavelengths, they bend at different angles, the end results is a rainbow.

There are more than 7 colours in a rainbow, but our eyes trick us into seeing the most prominent of the colours, sometimes if you look real close at a rainbow, you'd see more than 7 colours sandwiched between the borders of the "main" colours. You'll see cyan between blue and green, brown in red and orange, pink and maroon in blue and purple and so on.

If you really are fascinated at this subject and want to jump down the rabbit hole, you'd see a whole new world of particle and quantum physics which to this day scientists still make discoveries that change our very understanding of science. It's really interesting stuff that sheds light (pun intended) on the way the universe works.

Because Isaac Newton decided that there were seven colors in the spectrum. Newton, in addition to his work on gravity, the laws of motion, and calculus, studied optics.

Newton thought that the colors of light, when white light is split by a prism, were analogous to the notes of a musical scale., so he made sure that there were seven of them. He initially described red, yellow, green, blue, and violet, but added orange and indigo to make the analogy closer. There's no sharp distinction between blue and indigo. and honestly even orange can be hard to distinguish in a rainbow. Cyan (blue-green) would in my opinion have been a better choice to add. But it's somewhat arbitrary: humans can distinguish hundreds of colors, many of which appear in the rainbow spectrum. (Also, a spectrum in a lab and a rainbow caused by rain droplets are somewhat different; the distinctions in the latter as not as sharp.)

It's the same result you get when sunlight passes through a prism. It's because of refraction. It separates sunlight into its constituent colors. I'm trying to explain it in the most basic way.

There are numerous reasons why people lose their hair, it could be because of age, it could be hereditary or it could be a vitamin deficiency. Here are a list of ways you can reduce or at least mitigate hair loss.

Hair loss can be prevented by ensuring that your scalp is moisturised at all times. Also, dandruff doesn't occur when the hair is properly moisturize with essential oils.

More times than not, hair loss is genetic. It would almost certainly occur if it's in the lineage. I mostly don't give money to beggars, to be honest. My reason behind this is because I live in a socialist country where everyone get provided with food and shelter by the government if they need it - at least in theory. This means that we have very few beggars that are neither alcoholics or drug addicts, and I prefer not to donate money to support an addictive habit like either of these. It might not be politically correct to admit this, but at least that's my view on the matter.

I have mixed reactions.

First, I'm not against begging if the individual has no other means of survival. I'm obliged to help those who I have perceive are handicapped and cannot go snout with gainful employment.

They are everywhere these days, especially here in Africa. I tend to help when I have money I can spare.

However, in this part of the world, vodoo exists. It's not uncommon to hear stories of what people face because they are decided to help out. Many times, we've heard confessions from people who claim they were witches, how that they pose in strategic locations to for negotiations for money. They collect these monies and use them to attack their owners or give them bad fortune.

This has made me a little conservative. I don't really fear them as such but I allow myself to be led to gives than to just give at any time.

Also, the habit is now becoming annoying. In my country, people from the north troop into the south to come beg for money. It's become like a rosey venture to them. That's what I hate the most. The worst part of it is that they use kids to do the begging. It's really annoying.

In that's part of the country, people give birth with reckless abandon and won't take care of the products of their cravings. The next thing is first them to pay their fare or get them onto a truck that's heading south. The only thing those kids and their mothers are left to do is beg.

I remember one occasion when I was returning to school for a new semester. I was in a place called Ring road which used to be VERY VERY busy then. People were always moving fast.

I caught sight of one of these kid beggars, a young but handsome boy. I was feeling sorry for him. I winked at him just to make him happy. The next thing I saw was he clinging to me. He wouldn't let me go until I gave him money. I had just two notes on my wallet then and was supposed to pay for my transportation. I was forced to give him a one of them. Since then, I try to mind my business and offer my assistance only when I have the means.

I could only guess.

Satoshi Nakamoto's goal was to create a decentralized system. In order to achieve complete decentalization, no figure/person should be on the center of it. If he the inventor and creator introduced himself to the community, whether he likes it or not, he will by default be at the center of it and will become the de facto leader of Bitcoin, gaining himself power and influence which goes against what he wants to create.

My other guess is that, since this is a completely new and pretty much a "controversial" technology with no backing by the government, he probably feared that the the authorities will be after him after some time. To prevent this, he opted to hide himself from the community right from the beginning.

This depends on choice. Going unnoticed as an inventor is something that will keep raising questions. Just like the case of bitcoin inventor, no one know his identity and people keep wondering whom he could be.In fact, some said they are group of people.the fact that has not been ascertained. Aldo the appear and disappearance of Tom Elvis after creating the mimblewimble white paper was surprising.he came with his white paper on a bitcoin research channel without anyone knowing his identity and he refused to talk about this till date. I live in Port Harcourt, Nigeria so transport here isn't really expensive. I'd say I spend about 30% of what I earn monthly on transportation and that's because where I live is a bit far from all the places I go to to make money.

As for how often I use a bike, I'd say I use it just about every single day I go out. It's the most convenient means of transport for getting to places that cabs and buses don't usually get to.

I feel more inspired to blog at the early hour of the morning. After taking a good sleep all my system reset. I most times gather my points anytime it flies into my head and develop it at the early hour of the morning. That has been my style. I don't feel settled doing this during the day. When I was in school I read at mid night. The perfect silence of that hour motivate me and it gets my brain working exceptionally. We all have our approaches to this but mine is at the early hour of the morning simply because my system would have reset, the perfect silence is a motivator and the unnecessary distractions won't be there.

Actually anytime that I find something new to write about which is often. I have some google aleets setup to email me new alerts for keywords that I'm interested in. . A good idea is to send yourself pictures and text with ideas for a new blog post to "saved messages" user on Telegram. That way you can access the content betwern phones and computer. You could also use something like evernote for that. It is a good idea to write many posts at a time, some posts takes days of ideas amd thinking and careful piecing together of info sdo dont always expect to finish writing a post in one go from start to finish.

On Steemit, discovery of articles and people is very hard. Tagging is not by itself a sufficient substitute, and although algorithmic recommendations are not always great, sites like Quora or Medium do a better job bringing articles to my attention. Even finding curators like @classical-radio or @steemstem is difficult for a newcomer.

But a more fundamental problem is that as an author it's very hard for me to track engagement numbers, particularly coming from outside the Steem ecosystem. If I were running a Wordpress site I'd get page view numbers. If I write an answer on Quora I get a view count. While the Steem blockchain itself has no notion of "views", the Steemit.com front end does, and this information could be shared. (A related issue is that there's not a lot of way to monetize engagement other than by getting people to sign up for Steem and start upvoting, but I accept that's the model Steem wants.)

If Steem was a B2C startup all those "guest" users would be treated as potential leads. Visitors on Steemit.com get a rather generic banner (at the bottom of the post) that says "Authors get paid when people like you upvote their post. If you enjoyed what you read here, create your account today and start earning FREE STEEM."

As calls to action go, that's not bad, but I don't think a lot of thought or experiment has been done about curating those "leads" and getting them over the hurdle to becoming Steem users. A front-end that allowed guest accounts as an intermediate step, or used a tracking cookie, might allow a better experience for people not already on Steem.

Having visitors log in automatically as guest users is a great idea. And you don't need to change anything about the blockchain to implement this. Anyone can already log in to @openaccount, but they need to copy the posting key manually from the bio.

There used to be a view counter on Steemit, but it was unreliable, and it was embarrassing to see that the page views were sometimes lower than the number of votes.

The Steemit Promote Feature!

Before the existence of Bidbots, one way to boost a posts visibility is by using The Steemit Promote Feature. However unlike bidbots, the SBD/STEEM being used to promote the post is being BURNED. Steemit does this by sending the liquid Steem to the account @null which is Steem's version of burning.

This is clearly not a good way to do post promotion. One could spend 20 SBD to increase the visibility of a post and 7 days later only get less than $5. Why? Because no one bothers to read Promoted Tab anymore. And even if some indeed read posts there, they are not likely to upvote just because.

So in the end, that someone will lose 20SBD and probably have gained nothing which is very unlike bidbots since you get around -10% to +10% profit everytime you use a bidbot. This is what Steem/Steemit is doing wrong. A way to promote blog posts that will benefit both sides!

I was trying to ask the question in a way that was process not people specific. For example, I could have asked "what could the developers of Steem do better?" Or, I could have asked, " What could the the designers of Steemit do differently to improve the user experience?"

Steemit is constructed in steem blockchain and the things under steem blockchain is having many difference if we compare it to steemit. Originality : this is most important thing to be on front side of hot and trend list. Because if you didn't make a original good content , users can flag you.

Quality : quality is about how much information and contribution you give to the user. If the content providing benefits to users, they will upvote the content.

Upvote Bots : Some people don't think the bots is ethical . Because you can directly be in list with giving money to bots . İf you distribute 300-500 steem to some bots , you can be in the trends top.

Reputation score : This plays bigger role on the trend lists. If it is high , it will be easier in the trend list. But we can't say the same things for hot list. Because hot list is not about daily or weekly content. There are new posts in the list .You need to be get interaction quickly after posting the content.

This might not be the "nicest" way for some, but what I usually do is: directly tell her that I am not interested.

As someone who personally experienced being lead to before, the cruelest thing one could do to a person is giving him/her false hope. Sure she might not get hurt if she's oblivious to your real feelings however over time, those feelings would gradually grow and grow until it would be very hard of her to stop.

Which is why I personally think that the nicest way to turn down a girl down is just to honestly admit your real feelings to her. Do not lead on any girl and do not give her false hope if you know that you will never reciprocate those feelings.

I can say, it's being an artist by profession.

I don't know in other countries but in our country, artists aren't given enough credit or respect. They think we are just sitting around doing our hobbies. They will exploit your talent and even ask for discount even if your rate is low enough.

Local clients even want their shit done in a matter of minutes (should I say, they always rush things) and probably think effects are just one click away. They expect marvelous output with their very low budget and what's worst, artist get crtisize because of poor work. Well, how about they pay enough for their "expected output" and give enough time as well. Artists aren't robots!

I remembered seeing one news saying "Top 5 useless majors" and all the list are artist like (such as graphic designer, film, architecture, etc). Well then how about they stop watching movies, commercials, reading magazines, books and literaly everything entertaining. Let's see how useless that is.

My answer may seem a little awkward but i will go with nurses. Nurses do spend a lot of time with the patients, follow the doctor's orders to the least and do everything possible to make sure they patients are comfortable and at peace.

But most at times nurses get very little credit for their work and all the praises is directed to the doctors. Most patients nowadays even see amd treat nurses like maids with very little respect..

Nurses have always been covered by the webs of doctors. They have always been looked at as the physician's servants which is not very true. Nursing and medicine are different fields that come together to provide combined services for the welfare of the patients. This is not understood by many and this has led to nurses receiving due credit for their work. The little gods (doctors) get all the praise and respect.

I bet its Teachers. It is disheartening that these group of people don't get enough credit and respect in the society. These are the people teaching and impacting knowledge. Be you a Doctor, Lawyer, Engineer,Geologist, Accounts and so on, whitout the teachers those dreams cannot be realised.hardly will you see any parent advice their children to become a Teacher. Teachers are being paid meager salaries. If someone introduce his or her partner as a doctor,the respect overflows but if as a teacher,it is just a normal greeting that will follow. Many settled for teaching because of lack of employment and you will realise that many teachers we have today are not in the teaching line because no one is willing to take it as profession simply because of how it is taken in the society. Nurses or Public Education employees. That is just my opinion though. Nurses have to deal with a lot of stuff. Think about it, it is like being a parent to an adult. They have to deal with cleaning up bodily fluids, ornery patients, crying kids, crying adults, stuck up doctors, etc. Public school in general gets a bad rap. Many of the employees there are demonized just because parents don't want to do their jobs at home to raise respectable children. Teachers are then expected to teach all of the things that the government arbitrarily hands down to them in addition to the things the parents aren't teaching at home and the core curriculum that they need. Just my two cents!

Although doctors my save lives also and help people cure diseases that might cause them death, fire fighters are also in the position of saving lives. Plus they risk their own in order to go through flames to save the ones trapped in different scenarios. I would give more credit and respect to firefighters. The for sure deserve it, in my opinion.

I think while internet and media have been extremely useful in propagating knowledge and information, the by-products of such easy and convenient channels of propagation are loads of useless information.

I would define useless information as those that do not add value to your life, those that are not just nonsensical spam but those that spread negativity and hate.

The key, then, is not to avoid the internet and media. These channels are not the enemy - they're just tools in the hands of those who wield it. I believe we should just be discerning consumers/readers/browsers. It takes some amount of determination and discipline to process whatever you receive via an internal filter.

On a practical level, it could be to unfollow those propagators of useless information and clean up your Facebook feed, for instance. Facebook is a great way to keep up with your friends, be involved in various communities etc, but you don't want useless information to be cluttering your feed (as well as your brain space).

I would suggest that you just take a break from the Internet and media once you feel overwhelmed by the amount of information. Pretty much just log out and get away from the screen when you are beginning to get the feeling. My best tip as to get refreshed again is to go outside, and just try to relax. If you have nature close to you, then great, try to spend some time there.

I am a big believer of 'prevention is better than cure' mindset. In my humble opinion the best way to avoid the burden of useless information is to keep yourself away from it.

There is a reason why book reviews exist, a reason why rating system for books and movies exist. The idea is to scale an object of information so as to decide whether it would be of value to the watchers/listeners/readers.

Although I can see that there are some useless areas that you cannot completely avoid but if care is taken at the beginning in deciding what to watch and what not to watch than a lot time can be saved later.

I'm an ecologist, so I do need to spend the weekend away from my home and family every once in a while. Of course this is not a great feeling, but at least I'm in for some fun during the weekends, since weekend work or longer trips typically mean getting into nature to do some field work.

It would probably feel a lot worse having to work in the weekend if I had a regular office job. That would actually be terrible when I think about it! However, the good thing is (at least in my country) is that you typically get between 50 and 150 % bonus to your hourly wages during the weekend, depending on when you work. Sundays pay extremely well here in Norway!

I always feel angry and tired when I go to work on weekend. There was a time I was working in a company that is producing bottle water, we start work by 7am in the morning and stop by 6pm, that is 11hours of working, and the working days is from Monday to Saturday, believe me, I couldn't survive there for a month, despite only Sunday is for break, so I love to rest a lot that is why am doing my own business now rather than working for another person. I wake up when I like and sleep when I like. I survive with online platform these days. All thanks to steemit and some other online businesses that am working on.

- Do you have something better to do? Like hobbies or something?

- What is the job about? Is it a stepping stone to a much better job/life?

To be frank with you I don't think there's any difference.

People will tell you a verse is a line in a poem whereeas a stanza is a collection of lines. That's outdated now.

Yes, the word 'verse" is actually from the Latin' verso' which means a line. That's not so much in use these days.

It's more common to hearing people make reference to verse as meaning a group of lines than stanza.

Stanza is old English, verse is the new thing.

How do I get rid of nervousness during a formal presentation to a group of people?

This exact situation is often a problem for a lot of people, so first off: you are not alone! The absolute best way (in my opinion) to get rid of nervousness before a presentation is to practice. If you are scheduled to hold presentations regularly, then your nerves will definitely disappear after a few presentations.

For your first presentations though, it's best to practice at home. If you have friends or family that are willing, do the presentation in front of them! This allows you to get a real feel of how it will be to present it, and you are likely to be more confident when the real presentation takes place.

If you don't have anyone to show it to, do it in front of the mirror! You might feel a bit silly doing this, but trust me, you will still be able to work out the weak spots of the presentation, and also gain some confidence in the presentation itself.

Other than that, just bite your teeth together and do the presentation. Remember that most people are really nervous the first few times, and it will for sure get better! Good luck.

I would recommend you to try and visualize yourself at home making that formal presentation good. Visualizing you with confidence, with a good diction and tonality capturing the audiences attention will definitely also. And of course rehearsals will also help you as a training for the presentation.

It is not illegal but is grounds for termination and suspension of the account, if proven guilty.

No in my opinion I don't think it is. Furthermore, there are no laws that ban prohibit the sale of any social media accounts whatsoever. As long as the account wasn't stolen or hacked and there was a formal agreement between the two parties(buyer and seller) then I don't see any reason why it should be illegal.

What might be illegal is impersonating the person that sold the account to you though. People tend to use ploys like that to scam people into doing rather unscrupulous things so if you actually want to sell your Instagram account then be sure to know why and what the person that's buying it is buying it for.

No, It's not illegal to sell your Instagram account or any other social media account BUT its against the TOS of Instagram and if they manage to verify that the account was sold they could take action against the account but this has happened so little that people sell their accounts without repercussion most of the time.

OK there is no laws that are put that makes selling social media accounts illegal , However when you create an instagram account you agree in the terms of services that you do not sell you instagram account, Thus the question is, Is violating terms of service illegal.

Despite terms of service (TOS) being a legal agreement between instagram and the user.it is of a minor violation too minor most sites and places i visited to check it is against the law states that it is not illegal. If the service provider fails to meet the terms of service there should be a compensation from the provider. For example warranties, which repairs or even replaces your product anew if the product fails before a period of time. Whereas when you violate the terms of services you can be given penalties from the producer of the service or the product, which can be reinforced by court.

Besides what is built in, I don't use antivirus. I feel like it just slows down the computer and really when is the last time you have heard about a huge virus outbreak on computers. The days of NIMDA and SIRCAM are long gone. People have found much more lucrative ways of making money off people. Things like Ransomware, malware, and information mining/selling are what you really need to be concerned about vs. an actual computer virus.

The reason why we have more white inventors is primarily due to the location where the industrial revolution took place was Europe. It has little to do with people being more intelligent or less intelligent depending on their race or color. Mental superiority of races/genders has been scientifically disproven.

I get your point! I didn't know any either! I was surprised. Black people are an enormous amount of the scientific population so it would have been strange if there weren't any inventors among them.

If you have a serious gambling addiction, then my first tip would be to visit a doctor or other health care professional to get help. For many people the addiction has roots in psychological issues, so psychotherapy and things like that could really help with the treatment.

I also noticed that you used the word "control" instead of something like "stop" or "get rid of", which is interesting. It would be a lot more difficult to have a controlled gambling habit if you are a recovering addict than it would be to just quit it all together. For most people, it's very easy to fall back into old habits. So most people have to quit 100 % to get rid of their addiction, but I suppose some people might be comfortable having a normal gambling level after the treatment.

If you want to "control" this, the best way is to stop.

I have a relative with a gambling addiction, it is sad to watch a >20 year long and onging addiction to destroy a live and lead to total loss of a normal live.

I heard her talking about "finally controling it" and only playing a set amount of games or money per month to often to not know that this only works when the gambling made her money. If she lost she will just continue to try winning back the losses like always. And ofc this can not work out because the game is always in favour of the house ;)

We had this game where you collect stickers for the World Cup in football (or something like that). We would throw those stickers with a unique technique and who throws it farther, he has the most chance to win the most numbers of stickers. There were a lot of crazy childish rules about this game but it always brings a good memory.

I would have to say "Tumbang Preso" (lit. knock down the can). It is a traditional Filipino game played outside and was a famous game in the Philippines during the 90's.

The gist of the said game is: Hit and knock down the can with a "slipper". Depending on the impact, the can will fly meters away from its designated spot. The game involves running fast and outpacing the "It" in recovering your "slipper", while puts the it puts back the can in it's original spot. When a player is tagged from recovering the "slipper" he/she threw, he becomes the new It.

I loved football! Except everyone was bigger, stronger and more violent than me, so I found myself on the ground or in pain very often. But I loved just running around with all of my family. :) We played a lot of football in the beach. My cousin was better than me even though she was younger, and her little brother was the best of us all, lol.

I also loved Risk and Monopoly. Risk is a particularly cool game but it takes too long. Stratego is also cool but, I don't know, tabletop games were not that exciting and we left them alone later on.

My favorite outdoor game as a child was hide and seek. Hahahha

Every single day, when the clock strikes 3,me and my friends will meet at our common grounds outside our home. And then we set the limitation of the location where we are allowed to hide.

We decide which one to look first by doing the hand game that either palm up or palm down and whichever has the majority number will be safe untill on one remains or if there are two we will choose by doing jack n poy.

The person who is 'it' will count from 1-10 slowly. The first person to be found has a chance to save his spot by running to the homeground and say 'save' before the person who is 'it.' if not he/she will be the next 'it'

We sometimes finish til evening and we get scolded by our parents, saying what if some unknown creature will hide us and they won't be able to find us. So when the clock strike 6,we finish our game.

It was fun and scary XD

No! I think it is very sad to see Steemit and other blockchain platforms as just a reward/income distribution. The reward/income distribution is just like icing on the cake, but not the cake itself.

Blockchain technology is so, so much more than that.

It has enormous potential to revolutionize the whole of human society (beyond just individuals being happy because they now get upvotes for posting photos of their birthday parties - I'm exaggerating it of course, but you get what I mean).

One major theme: Decentralization.

People have been on the social media for the past decade without getting paid. Since the Steem blockchain is part of the social media landscape, there is no way to say that people are here just for the money.Since getting rewarded for your content is one of the biggest incentive for people to be on the Steem Blockchain, it is fair to say the Reward/Income distribution is one of the biggest motivators. I will also say that it is NOT the only reason for people to be here though.

I will take my own example. If it was decided that there would be no more payout for anybody from this day onwards, then I would still be steeming away on musing.io and other dapps. Although my time here would be greatly reduced but I will still be here.

Let also clarify that what we earn here is what we deserve. For the past decade social media platforms have monopolized the their user bases for their advantage and have earned hundred of billions of dollars from it. Social media content monetization came much later. Now that we have q system where we get paid fairly without paying commission, lets be grateful and respect it.

Nooooo. That question makes me so sad; even though I know it's a common mindset. This is in no way a shot at the OP but it just bums me out so much. That mentality is one of the biggest problems with the platform today! We see so much spam and misuse as a product of people learning about Steemit under the impression that it simply exists to make money.

Steemit is a social media platform. The same as many that have been around for ages. Not the same, not by any means, but something in my opinion way better- and I'm not just talking the rewards. Nor am I talking politics. I'm talking about the simple fact that thus far on Steemit I have allowed myself to connect with people from all over the world.

Is that not feasible on other platforms? Of course it is. But *way more so* on Steemit. Maybe it was just because I joined when I did; and knew no one on the platform in real life. Maybe that's what inspired me to connect with all these different people. But I think it's a more eternal thing that it inspires us to connect with people from all over the world. I already have "friends" in several different countries that I absolutely cannot wait to meet- just through the use of Steemit.

For broader adoption we need to eliminate this mentality. Of course, the rewards might be somewhat key in the *appeal*- but we can't let it continue as a tool for spam. I honestly thing Musing is helping with this to some degree with their generous votes in combination with manual curation.

Steemit is an amazing platform and is a step in the right direction. The people focused solely on the money are the reason it hasn't achieved mass adoption yet- and I say that with total confidence.

As already told people are not only for the money here.

But I think more important is the fact that blockchains give you more freedom and control over your money, better than fiat banks. This doesn't mean it's the best. Just in a few points better than f.e. banks.

There are still some problems with *fair* reward/ income distribution.

Steemit is trying to solve this problem with curation. But we still have the users as problems.. or their moral. People are buying/ selling votes, curate in jerk-circles, or self-vote..

There is also still a lack of special content.

The way I understand it the original intent of Steemit was to reward people for posting high quality content. Recently that vision has gotten thrown by the wayside I am afraid. There are lots of people that are producing high quality content, but there is also a lot of crap out there that is getting upvoted to the moon. It is a nice idea, Steem Messenger would be the easiest way to communicate with other Steem users through the blockchain (on-chain) via transfers.

Some months ago @therealwolf created a steemit messenger app where you can communicate with others steemians, but why I don't like the the app is that each message sent will attract 0.001SBD/steem, the name of the so called app Is Steem Messenger(BETA).

I know an app also where you can earn for just commenting, posting, upvoting by using the app, this app is just like eSteem app, you can blog with it without using browsers, you will turn all the points you have accumulated to upvote, this function just added recently when they upgrade their app, the name of the app is Partiko, you would have seen many steemians using it because at the end of the post or comment, posted using partiko will be written there. You can visit @partiko blog to know much about it.

For you to accomplish this aim, you need to be a programmer or you can consult some programmers to help you out.

The origin of languages can only be hypothesised and taken to mimesis (imitation of sounds) and onomatopoeia. Many roots have been traced, but I think that the oldest one discovered is Proto-Indo-European.

For me, the saddest scene in a TV series is Billy's death in Ally MacBeal.

I consider this one of the saddest scenes in a TV series because prior to the character Billy's death, I believed that he and the lead character, Ally MacBeal have always been in love with each other. However, because of circumstances (separate colleges, Billy getting married, then going through a mid-life crisis where he becomes a class-A jerk) they never really got together.

Then, in his final scene, as he was giving a closing argument in court, which turned into a profound declaration of love (finally) for Ally, out of the blue, he just collapsed and died in her arms. But to make matters worse, Ally had to meet with Billy's ex-wife and her friend, Georgia, where repeats Billy's love declaration, but this time, telling it as if it was meant for Georgia, and not her.

So, imagine being in love with one person, reconciling with yourself you will never be together, and then finally hearing how the other person feels the same way about you, only to have it taken away in the blink of an eye. And, as if that wan't enough to break your heart, you have to crush it further by giving away your final moments with the person to someone else. I just thought this was one of the most heartbreaking scenes in television.

I don't watch a lot of TV, so here are some sad scenes from movies that I can always remember.

Forrest Gump - Forrest talks to Jenny at her grave, especially at the end of this scene when a flock of birds started flying away. This was exactly what Jenny wished for when she was a child with Forrest, to become a bird.

Castaway - Wilson the volley ball had kept Chuck sane for the past 4 years, and when Wilson drifts away in the calm wave, Chuck was powerless to get it back.

Pursuit of happyness - When Chris Gardner and his son had to spend the night in the Metro's toilet because they had no money for a proper motel.

Rocky Balboa - Rocky went to Paulie and confessed to him about the beast inside him.

I am a big Anime Lover and it just makes sense that the saddest scene I probably have watched was Going Merry's Funeral (One Piece).

Going Merry was the name of the Straw Hat Pirates first ship and was with them from Episode 17 to Episode 312. That's 295 Episodes right there. I still honestly don't know what happened but it just made me teary-eyed to see them saying their goodbyes to this inanimate character in the series. Probably after watching One Piece over and over again (at least 3 times prior to that scene) I somehow got attached to all of them, including their ship.

A close second and probably the first ever scene that made me cry (or at least teary-eyed) was Butterfree leaving Ash because of damn Love!. It literally broke my heart to see Ash's first ever caught pokemon in the wild leave him for some pokemon he just met.

First things first I would be really excited to go out and see how things had changed. Two years isn't that much time in terms of crazy worldwide progress(actually, who knows these days), so I'd probably be first headed to somewhere I knew very well to see how the little things have changed that I would notice.

But then I'd try to jump out of the hospital bed and would instead probably fall on the floor because I hadn't moved in two years. Then the doctor/nurse/AI robot machine that have replaced them will tell me I need to stay there a few days. I would reluctantly pretend to comply, but then I would devise a plan to try to sneak out with a friend that night. However, I wouldn't be aware that these new AI robots had a microphone on the bed that they could feed into and heard me talking about my plans immediately. So they release the automatic straps from the sides of the hospital bed and I am stuck there.

They pick up my friend and toss them on the curb, They hook me up to a feeding machine and say "no one tries to sneak out of robo-hospital". The drugs they include in the tube hooked in my side slowly put me to sleep as I try to apologize and I doze off for the night.

As I wake the next day, I'm already super bummed I lost an extra day because of the stupid robots. However, right as the thought crosses my mind, the coffee machine in the corner says "ah ah ah. don't make it two days". Now I'm really freaking out. How do the robots have so much control? They're allowed to read my brain? Impossible

Regardless, I decided to comply. I realized that doing otherwise was only going to further take time away from the remaining life I had. Two years lost sucks and I want to go see if coffees gotten any better, or beers gotten any cheaper, or if they'll let my dog on the airplane yet. So, I do whatever the robots want me to do for rehab so I can get out of there.

It turns out in the future "rehab" is just AI machines moving your limbs around while you get to watch whatever sort of television program you wished for. I asked for The Evil Dead but they didn't like me very much so instead they put on a weird movie about Kanye West becoming president. Shortly into I realized it wasn't a fictional movie but actually a documentary.

Once finally free of the robots I would walk outside and smell stuff. Like, just smell everything. Walk into a grocery store and just start smelling different cheeses. Then try to walk out with some in my pocket because I had no money on me but the robots got me again. They told me it was fine though and to just pay them later. That's when I realized I was in Canada.

I would then probably go eat whatever cheese I had while walking up and down random streets. I would think about getting a cell phone but then decide that maybe it was time for me to start a new life. So then I would shave off my eyebrows and buy a scooter and go by the name Kip Yazzzuki. Also would invest a lot of money in really fast sunglasses.

No one would ever hear from Herbert Holmes again. Just Kip Yazzzuki

The dollars in your PayPal account are real money, and they are real $ just like if they were on your bank account. There are basically three things you can do with money on your PayPal accounts:

1) Send them to another PayPal user. If you got friends or family that uses PayPal, you are free to send it to them. Just type in their e-mail address to send it.

2) Spend it on an online store. Lots and lots of different e-stores accept PayPal as a payment method, including some of the large and well-known ones. So if you want to go shopping, consider going e-shopping instead, and you will likely be able to spend your PayPal money there.

There are even websites that will sell your crypto such as Steem, and let you pay with PayPal!

3) Transfer it to your regular bank account. If you have verified your PayPal account (basically they need to confirm that it's a real account by a real person), then you can send the money to your own bank account, as long as you have the same name on your bank account and your PayPal account. This allows you to do whatever you want with it. Keep in mind that there's typically a small fee for transferring it to a bank account.

However, withdrawing dollar value from PayPal account required to be funding goes back to account owner ONLY. The first thing I'll do is to access as much information as I can and have it backed up in my private and secured servers. From there I'll have it uploaded on to the internet. The information I want is the secret kind - the one that stays hidden deep in the financial books.

I was never a fan of Facebook but on the other hand it is not my call to let a company live or die. The best way is to let the people have the information and let them decide as to what they want to do with it.

Well there's only one experience that comes to mind. I wanted to go home after a very long 10hour training I had on subsea engineering and I wasn't in the mood to deal with jumping cabs or taxis so I decided to call an Uber. After about half an hour the guy showed up. He seemed friendly enough but when I got into his car it was a different case.

I can boldly say that his car was the dirtiest car I've ever seen. It was a 2006 or 2008 Dark blue Toyota Camry and it looked great from the outside, but the inside was terrible. Apparently his previous clients where just leaving a party and they'd puked all over his seats, they also left bottles of alcohol all over the place, oh and I could have sworn that I saw something that looked like 💩.

I reluctantly got in despite the smell and how disgusting it was, I didn't have a choice, it was late and I was tired to the bone. The Uber driver didn't even apologize for how messy his car was, instead he asked me to give him a five star rating as soon as he dropped me. I was so pissed that I gave him the worst rating possible!!!!

The deep / dark web web is essentially an unindexed version of the Internet. It does not run with the DNS system that the rest of the "regular" Internet runs on, meaning that you do not have domain names.

As mentioned above, it's also not indexed, which means that there are no search engines to help you navigate it! This means that it is very tricky to find the content you are looking for, and you basically have to rely on being given a web address by someone.

Since the deep web does not run with the DNS system, the web addresses you need to use are also very complex! The addresses will look something like this http://zqktlwi4fecvo6ri.onion/. It's basically a random string followed by a .onion ending.

To get access to the deep web, you need a special browser. I'm only familiar with a browser called Tor Browser (https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en), but it also seems like this is the one most people are using.

If you want to explore, then a good place to start is from the Hidden Wiki. The web address is http://zqktlwi4fecvo6ri.onion/wiki/index.php/Main_Page (it's also the one I used in the example above). This Wiki has a lot of links to get you started.

As you might have already heard, it's a lot more difficult to govern the deep web, so a lot of illegal activities only takes place there. There are of course a lot of legal websites as well, but what's really the benefit to having it on the deep web if it's suitable for the regular web?

TLDR; It's an unindexed Internet that can be accessed with Tor Browser.

What we are using now is popularly called the surface web. This means that websites like musing and steemit are 'indexed' and can easily be located by just searching the term on a search engine. On the other hand there websites that are not registered with any of the search engines and thus if you 'google' them you will not be able to find them.

These websites not indexed and thus cannot be located by scouring through the world wide web using search engines. Usually the only way to access deep web or the unindexed websites is by directly using the IP address or the URL.

Unlike the popular opinion, not all deep web websites are illegal. Some are just semi-private chatrooms that don't want outside people barging in, etc..... If you are just a casual explorer than you don't even really need TOR browser of VPN's to access it. If you have the IP address of the URL, you will find their webpage but usually you might need a password to use the full functionality of that website.

This is the safest way to access the deep web:

1. Use a spare/old computer you don't care about.

2. Or if you want to use your own regular computer then make sure that your firewall is up to date and you have a good anti-virus installed and running.

3. Download a free VPN or hire a VPN service and run it.

4. Use the TOR onion browser instead of firefox of chrome.

5. Remember that the above steps are meant to make sure that you remain undetectable and your computer remains protected from malware. Otherwise accessing the deep web no special thing - you can do it just the way you regularly browse internet.

NOTE: Usually people confuse Dark web with Deep Web. They are two different things.

Recommendations for surfing the Deep Web

Several Bloguers and informative pages related to this topic ask you to possess basic knowledge and information related to the Deep Web, this to avoid entering potentially dangerous areas of the Internet.

One of the biggest recommendations is not to do it, even if it seems contradictory if you can avoid entering the Deep Web, it will be much better for you, but if you decide to do it you should have at hand a series of instruments.

The first thing you should have is a new computer or a fully formatted hard drive which does not have any information related to you or someone else, this will prevent potential hackers can get information with which to do you damage, even irreparable. At this level we can find information about hired killers, systems for hacking ATMs, videos and forbidden books [VIDEO], questionable visual material. Within the Web Charter, there is an even lower area where you can find areas of human trafficking and drug sales.

5.- Marianas Web: In order to enter these levels, special programs are needed that are somewhat difficult to obtain. Their name is associated with the Las Marianas Trench, the lowest point on planet Earth.

Governmental systems are the ones that can have access to this zone of the Internet, in this level you will be able to find sales of arms, human traffic, sales of drugs, murderers to salaries and other activities of illicit type. 6.- The Liberté Web: To enter this area of the Internet it is necessary the invitation of a user, this is a Web page where videos of live rapes, murders, tortures and animal cruelty are exhibited. The Mandela effect is a phenomenon where a large group of people shares the same false memories of a given event or thing.

The Effect is named by Nenson Mandela because some people think he died when he was imprisoned in the 90's while he actually died in 2013. I'm one of those who thought he died in the 90's because I can vividly remember learning about it in school as a kid.

Where can I start from, let's see it this way. Language is essential in communication without the proper communication, understanding won't be possible. So if there was only one language in the world it might actually be a good thing because understanding would be made perfect.

But as usual, humans are very complicated so there the only language would still be different. Using English as a case study, just as like 6 countries speak English yet in the language spoken there are still a lot of difference. Nigerians way of speaking is a lot different from the way England speak theirs

So the differences would be in the accent just to differentiate where one comes from.

If you love travelling to foreign countries, you will surely notice that the main problem one will have will be the Language Barrier.

Take for example an American who goes to Japan for a vacation. Ordering a simple meal would be quite a hard task as you don't really speak their language nor know how to read their language. Basically you will need to rely on your body movements and guts so that you two can communicate well.

If there is only one language in the world, people would have an easier time communicating with each other. A foreigner travelling abroad won't be that much worried on what to do next in case he/she got lost in a very foreign land.

Someone who wants to check the website of a certain country can easily navigate the whole site since there is only one language. A good example for this would be the russian-community site Golos.io. If you don't speak and understand russian, you might have a hard time on that platform, gaining friends and supporters.

This question is a matter of personal opinion so let me give you mine. I believe that a man's wife is more important than his mother, for the simple reason that she's the one that he spends the rest of his life with. His mother will always be there, but she's not the one who's going to give birth to his children, she's not the one that's going to take care of them and breast feed them when they're young, that's the job of his wife.

Besides, when you get married to a woman, she leaves her family and becomes a part of yours, in a way both of you leave your families and start a new family together. If any man chooses his mom over his wife then that means that he chooses his mom over his kids and basically his own family as well.

In my opinion, the wife is more important than the mother after marriage.

This is highly subjective but I for one believes that the moment a man is married, his attention and focus should be shifted to his wife not anymore to his parents.

The main job of a parent is to ready the child for the future. Many parents strive and work hard just to support their child's education, in order for him/her to have a better and a secured life in the future.

Marriage is the next step and the beginning of that future. The one in which our parents prepared us for. Due to our parents sacrifices, we were able to create a family of our own. This is very tricky question, I believe a man is not entitled to make a choice between choosing from the woman he's married to, and his mother. Biblically a man is entitled to his wife after they've been married but this doesn't meant he's no longer entitled to recognizing his mother's role they only thing is that they relationship has become extended and he'll have to recognise them according to their various roles in his life.

I think if someone's concerned about being considered starved and classless simply for eating their whole meal, something's really wrong. This is a problem of social constructs. It might be considered "classless" or something along those lines but what really even is class?

This is a moral issue on another level too. If we are supposed to dispose of food so that we don't appear "silly", or whatever; what does that say about how we've been trained to treat the rest of the world? There are so many hungry people out there and we're supposed to throw out our food? Even myself; I'm not in any "class", but I guess you could call me "financially poor as shit". Even so, it is common for me to be expected to throw out food. If you don't like something, you're supposed to throw it out. Not donate it- but throw it out. This is because society doesn't give you any sort of reward for doing good deeds- in fact, when it comes down to it, it usually actually costs you money to donate something.

It's very hard for me to throw out food because I'm constantly thinking about all the times I've been in such dire need for food and I watch people just waste it on the daily. We are all(ok not all) in bad situations sometimes and I think when we are not it's important to think of those who are.

I guess the reason I'm going on this rant is to say that if you have the money to go to a fine dining establishment and that's where you want to spend it- go for it. That's your choice and I got no problem with that because those employees gotta live too. But, eat your food! Eat every little scrap on the plate and lick it clean. If nothing else, it's a testament to the kitchen staff about how much you liked their food. Whether or not they want to admit it- cooks like to see that.

And don't be concerned about what other's think. The people that judge you for what you eat are hopeless, lost causes. If they give you a look, give them a goofy smile. Do something silly. Screw em!

I eat with my customers at fairly “fine dining” places all the time. I’m talking maybe $35 ~ $50 per meal without drinks, but the presentation is outstanding.

The problem is that the amount of food served in order to make the beautiful presentation is also outstanding. This is fine if it is one night, but when we have to eat like this five or six nights in a row, it gets ay too much.

I always tell the customers that in Japan it is not rude to leave food in such places, in fact it shows that you were sufficiently filled up, and if everything is gone it means the host failed to provide enough. I say this mostly to lessen the guilt of the customers because I know they can not eat it all. I NEVER finish my meals. If I had to eat that much for 20 days month I would die.They know I will not finish, and they know why, and they serve it anyway. I just make sure to always tell them it was delicious, but I just can’t eat that much today. Also, they know that the reason I bring my people there has a lot to do with the food, so I do not feel rude when something goes uneaten. Sometimes too the food is strange for foreigners - especially the kids, and they understand that so are not offended.

I used to try to tell the hosts to serve less, but it makes their meal look too plain or simple, and they already have set menus an procedures, and it messes up their workflow, so there is always waste.

I used to keep chickens, and the host knew that once we had left the table, he or she is to throw all the scraps into one big plastic bag which I would take home for the most pampered chickens in the world - unless it was untouched, then it went home to my wife and daughter.

Restaurant dining is different from dining as a guest with a friend or on some other more personal occasion. It was the etiquette thing in those personal dining occasions to not eat everything on your plate. That was to provide the Host/Hostess the satisfaction of having fed you properly and not left you hungry.

Restaurant dining is a business. :-) The Chefs and Restaurant owners are enticing you into the restaurant for you to pay to eat. They entice you with atmosphere, musicians sometmes, and most especially the food and the proportions thereof.

You do NOT owe the restaurant the luxury of a host/hostess, though of course courtesy, politeness, and other forms of dining etiquette still make everything go smoother and more pleasant. As other answers demonstrate, the Owner and Chefs want to know ‘what works’ that provide food and portions that the customers relish and will likely come back to eat. If you clean your plate, maybe they’ll slightly increase the portions. If you leave something behind like some side dish offering the taste of which you didn’t like, then the management wants to know that information.

It all depends on mentality, you see some men rich men in a restaurant hardly finishes their meal it's not because they feel classy but because they hardly even eat too much, meanwhile others finish their meals in a restaurant and get done with it, it's a matter of mentality and doesn't have to do with either being rich or being poor or being classy or being mundane.

I am actually a believer in the fact that this present day monetary system has only two inevitable fates. Either it would completely collapse or it would gradually wither away.

People like us who seek alternative and intelligent ways to safeguard their wealth would be called 'smart' if this system collapses. If this system withers away then we would be called 'pioneers'.

Here are the ways that I am preparing for it:

1. I am choosing to side with cryptocurrencies and precious metals.

2. I am teaching others how handle their money in a smart way. I am particularly focusing on my family.

3. I am detaching myself from the banks as much as possible.

Truth be told, I first come to know about Cognitive Dissonance while I was browsing Reddit. From there I learned that people who is suffering from this mental discomfort is mostly caused by their strong belief and faith in something.

Take for example people who believe that the earth is flat. Even if you present scientific facts and evidence that disproves their belief, they will not accept it and will try to rationalize, ignore and even blatantly deny those facts.

Because their belief is so strong that they feel the need to protect it. Anything that goes against their belief will be ignored. Over time this will likely cause a contradictory belief and thus physchologically stress them all out.

Cognitive dissonance is the feeling of discomfort that occurs when there is a conflict between what I think and what I do. There are three things we can do to remedy the stress produced by this sensation:

Change our behavior.

Justify our behavior by altering thought or belief.

Justify our behavior by adding new ideas to the thought or belief in question.

For example, imagine a smoker who knows that smoking tobacco carries a high risk of lung cancer and is trying to quit. As we know, this habit is difficult to change without a treatment plan, so suppose this person succumbs to temptation and smokes a cigarette. At that point, or perhaps later, cognitive dissonance will appear: I want to quit smoking and I have committed myself to it but I have smoked. What is easier for that person at that time? Changing his past behaviour is not possible and changing the unhealthy habit of smoking is proving complicated, so he decides to change his ideas in order to justify his behaviour and alleviate the stress produced by this conflict of interests.

All of us will hear excuses such as "my grandfather has smoked all his life and is like an oak tree", "one more cigarette, one less cigar is not going to do anything to me", "I smoke until this pack is finished and I don't smoke any more", etc. The same thing happens if you want to go to the gym, start a diet or study a new language.

The origin of cognitive dissonance

Psychology doctor Leon Festinger was the first to propose the theory of cognitive dissonance after infiltrating a cult himself to investigate its psychological principles. The members of the sect believed that humanity would perish as a result of a worldwide flood, so most left their jobs and sold their homes to focus on working for the sect. After the date of the supposed flood and obviously no catastrophe occurred, Festinger noted that the less faithful members admitted that they had acted unreasonably, learning the lesson the hard way.

However, the more adept members of the sect, on the other hand, claimed that their faith and work brought about a change in humanity's destiny, saving it from the terrible outcome. According to Festinger, human beings need consistency between what we think and the way we act. The belief invented by the most faithful groups of the sect is the result of the need to eliminate this dissonance. Moreover, cognitive dissonance is more difficult to bear when it is our own image that is affected; in this case we speak of one's perception of oneself as "stupid" having believed in that prophecy or facing the harsh reality that everything that has been done for the sect has been in vain.

Criticism of cognitive dissonance

Although much research has been done on this phenomenon, the fact is that cognitive dissonance takes place in the mind of the subject who experiences it and then translates into behavior. Please allow me to share a few pointers that have helped me in my Steem journey:

Frankly there is not much that you can do. I will always recommend the newbies to stay clear from flag wars and stuff that'll get you into trouble.
The best way to do this is not by hiding but rather by being open in the community. Try to keep a clean track record so that you maybe believed when you talk to people about the flag abuse.
Try to make friends here in the community so that you can have a group that is mutually supportive of each other.
If you see a victim of flag abuse, then try to help him out the best you can (but first make sure that the person is a genuine victim, not somebody who deserved that flag). I have always found that helping others is like helping myself.

I think the best thing you can do is write a post about it and solicit the help of other steemians. Steemit is a global community and when a member of that community is threatened or in trouble the other members of the community must come to his/her side.

Don't give up! There's no use in it, just keep on doing your thing and make connections, provide engagement and collect them tokens on the side!

For real, Steemit is a social media site. To some extent everyone obviously cares about the money aspect a little bit, but it shouldn't regulate our involvement with others. Steemit needs us and STEEM as well, to be active and prove the benefits of the platform before the currency will go back up.

I honestly think we're close to rock bottom. I really think the price of STEEM will recover as well as the rest of the market. So, that being said, just forget about it and continue to use the platform as it is meant to be used. Musing also is providing us with the opportunity to earn even more STEEM while the naysayers lose interest.

Regardless of what happens with the market, I'm on this platform for the long run. I think there is real potential here and it also provides us with the ability to connect with so many different people around the world. Through my brief time on Steemit I've created a small, yet worldwide close friend group- something that would not exist had I never used the platform. I am too broke to go this year but I certainly plan on attending Steemfest in Poland next year and couldn't be more excited to meet some Steemians in real life.

So if you or any of your friends are thinking of giving up simply don't. Just see it as an opportunity to collect more Steem without being so concerned with the market. We will recover, I really believe that.

Even right here we're seeing another example of how Steemit is beneficial. You needed a question answered, and here people are to answer you. I guess technically the platform is Musing but Musing wouldn't exist without Steemit(well maybe it would but you know what I mean).

Look in the long term, not short term, because from my personal opinion crypto is not for short term. Try to imagine what will happen to the price of steem + sbd around 5 years or more from now before they think of quit steemit.

Even bitcoin need a long time before the price went really high. I remembered bitcoin price was around $30 in 2011, many people thought btc won't live long, so they didn't care too much about it, only few people collected it.

7 years later, bitcoin price became very high and many people use it these days. Those who collected btc since many years ago got a huge profit. So think about this possibility first before give up on steemit.

Before you can determine the type of investment that provide less risk (Online or Offline). You really need to determine the area of your offline business and what aspect of online business you want to go into.

Offline business of buying shares from companies that are doing well (Determined with the help of brokers) may limit your risk because you get to know(through their financial statement) when the company is close to a point where you may loose your shares/stake, you withdraw your shares immediately or sell them to interested buyers after you must have gotten a lot of returns from your investment.

But Offline business where you have 50/50 chances of succeeding like selling a frozen food in an area where the ratio of the availability of power supply is 3:7 then you should know lots of loss is available.

Therefore, before you can determine which (Online Or Offline) has lesser risk you should figure out what type of online or offline business.

Depends on your personality, your time, your knowledge..... If you know where to look for right data at the right time, and if you know how markets react to fresh informations in commercial media (does not matter if those informations are fake or not) than you can monetize on it by trading stocks, etf's, commodities, currencies....). I am talking about online trading. But if you have any fear about online trading, you can go to any bigger bank (or any investment commercial agent) , and order paper stocks or bonds. At the moment I don't recommend any bonds, and stocks are already in big bubble. But you can buy stocks after financial crash and make nice profit in few years. But in case you are trading online, you can make big profit while market is going down too. Some platforms are offering a way to make money, even if you are no-brainer about trading. How else are you going to quickly filter a book on the basis of its artistic taste? With only a finite amount of resources and too many choices of "books", sometimes this is a good way to do a quick filter. That said, it's good to keep other feedback channels open in case there is something more that is worthy of attention.

Not really. I've done that multiple times and most of the times I was completely wrong. Physical appearance and outfit are definitely never going to describe a persons character from a first glance. Sometimes it takes decades to get to know a person so how can you make yourself and opinion on he/she just by the first look. The same as in the case of books you have to read the whole pages to make a statement about it and judge it. It's not enough to just take a look at its covers. They might be roughly aged, but the content might be of an immense value.

Judging a book by its cover is a basic human self defense mechanism we used in the days of old to defend ourselves from predators, these days however that has almost no use but we still have it and sometimes it works as it should but sometimes it doesn't, so you have to be mindful and give time for a real opinion to forge and not judge everything by it's cover.

I'm probably in the minority here, but Yeah! Often than not it is "sometimes" helpful to judge a book by it's cover and is honestly one of my basis when buying a book.

I'm no book-lover but I have read and bought around 10 books by now. The first thing that I look at when buying a book that I have never heard of before is the cover. I myself am fascinated into the world of fantasy and adventure so when a book is showing this in it's cover, I know for sure what to expect.

Now extending this logic to handling people and stereotypes. Judging a person by their physical appearance is sometimes helpful especially when you are dealing with negative stereotypes. Mostly because you will be much more wary and be on-guard when dealing with them.

Your judgement might not always be correct but since you are on-guard, the chances of you losing anything or be on harms way is drastically lowered.

Here in my community, that question is best interpreted as "Is it helpful judging somebody from their physical appearance"? This is kind of an old proverb stated as you did. Well, I think it is helpful because in as much as many people will argue with me that people are not always on the inside what they present themselves on the outside, I will say that is not entirely true. I believe that the real you in the inside will always and should manifest itself on the outside and if that is not the case then you might want to take a deeper look of yourself. You might just be deceiving yourself or trying to believe that you are something that you are not.

Also, I don't see any genuine reason why you should be something else on the inside and another on the outside UNLESS you are either PRETENDING or trying to be DECEPTIVE. For example I watched a movie and a married woman dressed in a whorish way and went to the market. An onlooker saw her and approached her thinking she was a whore and then the lady fell on the guy and lavished him with insults asking him if she looked like a whore to him but the truth was she did look like one. So who is to blame here?

The truth is, people will never really get to know you and they will always make their immediate judgment based on what they see at that particular moment. You cannot blame them if they make the wrong judgment based on how you present yourself at that moment. Passing by a house, i will say it is beautiful based on the external part of it i have seen and not on the internal aspect i have not seen.

So in regards to books in a literal sense, get a good cover for your book because buyers don't have all day reading the content of books in a shop to pick a good one. You need to attract them or get their attention at first glance, so if judging a book by its cover is not helpful, Why do authors try so hard to get good covers and brilliant titles to their books?

Even advertising companies use this so well, making products look perfect on the outside when it is not true in the inside.

All i am saying is a good internal look and a good external look is simply PERFECT.

Is it necessary to always attend lectures in the university?

I don't believe that it's necessary to attend every class. There are people who barely attend classes and they do just fine in school. What's important is understanding what works for you. Back when I was in college I attended all my classes, I almost never skipped a single class but some friends of mine didn't attend classes as much as I did and they still did better than me.

As long as you can read up what was taught in class the day you decide not to attend then I don't see any reason why you have to attend everyday...unless it's like my school where you have to sign attendance and if you don't have up to 75% attendance for the semester then you won't be allowed to write exams.

My advice to you would be to figure out what works for you, if you can stay home and comfortably cover your syllabus then you don't have to attend all the classes, but if you're the type of person(like me) that needs to be taught everything then please go to class bro!!!!!

This highly depends on three things:

The Instructor/Professor handling the Class
The Curriculum of the School towards attendance
The Subject itself

Back when I was still on College, some of our professors have this concept wherein students are not required to attend lectures/classes provided they do well on exams. I am an Engineering Student and most of our subjects are all related to Math. If you are very good at formulas and problem solving, you could literally pass some subjects even if you never attended any lectures. Just do well on the mid-terms and finals and you will still pass.

The point is, if you know for yourself that self-teaching is more effective than listening to an experienced professor/instructor, then feel free to skip some lectures. Often times, you learn more from the internet/online rather than your professor. Just make sure to do well in mid-terms and Finals.

The location of the difference between humans and animals is "HEART", the heart is not in the sense of a lump of meat that is located in the body. But the heart in terms of its use in terms of taste, mind and mind. Heart To listen, feel, and feel. Not the person who did that. The biggest difference is how our senses work compared to animals.

All of our senses are to some extent different based on what specific animal you take in consideration. Examples: eagles are able to see prey from a distance from which a human couldn't destinguish it from it's surroundings. Dogs can sniff out a sent from far away. Snakes have thermal vision. Cats see better in the dark than in the light, etc.

Depending on which animal you try to compare us to, there are so many differences in how our senses work that the real question is: "what resemblences do humans share with animals?"

The answers that everyone gives can always be different because everyone's view of something will not be nearly the same, but the question is always the same.
