WHEN BUYING FOOD

Check Label Information Carefully…

The name of the product on the label should be considered and the contents section should be examined.

The characteristics of the product considered to be purchased should be compared with the label information. However, when taking different products from each other, particular attention should be paid to whether the product is intended to be taken; in addition, the contents section should be read and informed about the contents of the product.

Pay attention to production or import permission…

The Date and number of the production permit given by the Ministry of Agriculture and livestock, and if the product is imported, the date and number of the import permit of the Ministry should be noted on the label.

What type of food? Canned or packaged?

In most cases, it should be safe to eat although the quality and/or appearance may be rather less than it should be.

As with any other food, I suggest you go by this cardinal rule: When in doubt, throw it out.

Some are pretty safe as the outdated terms are very often determined on general laws rather than determine them specifically for every type of food, but I wouldn't encourage anyone eating outdated foods. It's too risky for ones health to do that. Better choose fresh ones and protect your health.

I think it depends on the type of food you're buying. Some are still pretty safe while others are harzardous. But it is better to eat fresh food only and not outdated foods just to be on a safe path.
