Is cheating happening because of lack of commitment and not keeping promises and what are the reasons?

Commitment in a relationship is one of the things that can make a partner survive, as well as keeping promises. Is cheating happening because of lack of commitment and not keeping promises and what are the reasons?

    Could be. But I personally think that people cheat because of this reasons:

    1. They are curious and want to experience new things - Often times when you are in a long relationship with someone, one just can't help feel bored doing the same thing over and over again. Because of how long the relationship is now, people have it hard to break up with their partner and oftentimes just choose to cheat in secret in hope to experience new things with that person.
    2. They want emotional validation - In conjunction with the first one, there is a "thrill" one feels when cheating. It somewhat makes them nervous, scared, etc.. and thus makes them feel alive, a much more better feeling than boredom. Some also feels underappreciated and seek that validation from someone else that they matter in this world.
    3. They are not satisfied sexually -  Believe it or not, sex is placed higher in the hierarchy of needs that humans need for survival along with food, water, sleep and clothing. When physical intimacy is not enough and does not satisfy one partner, people often seek that satisfaction from someone else.

    People cheat on their partners for different reasons. Often, when one partner feels that he or she has been neglected by the other for a long time, they end up hanging out with other people they are attracted to which sometimes leads to an adulterous relationship. In a simpler term, the crave for attention can lead to cheating should one partner feel neglected by the other. Some also cheat on their partner due to the inability of one partner to satisfy the other in bed. A relationship is usually the haven for sexual activities, hence if there isn't any sex going on or there are several issues with performance in the bedroom, this can trigger cheating.

      Some people cheat because of lack of attention from their partners,some people cheat because they are self-

      centered in the relationship and do not care about their

      partner’s feelings,,some people also cheat because of

      peer pressure especially when the person moves along with the kind of friends that are cheats too,,some people

      also cheat due to lack of commitments in the relationship,so there are various reasons why people

      cheat but i believe that cheating is not the solution to

      whatever problem the person is facing in the relationship and cheating should never be encouraged

      by anyone...it is better to walk out of a relationship instead of cheating on the person...
