The Steemit blockchain has been built in such a way that whatever is posted there remains....for life.
So, it is almost impossible to delete a post once it is already posted on Steemit.
Although, there are a few ways to go about it.
You can delete a post on Steemit when the post is less than 5 minutes old of being posted.
Once it's past the time limit, you cannot delete that post but you can make EDITS and delete the entire content and simply replace it with ERROR or something of your choice.
That way, the content is deleted.

If your post age was so long then you can't delete the post. If you want to delete comment on steemit, it will be possible to delete your comment. After that scroll down and you will see the delete option. Click on the delete option and then it will want confirmation that are you want to delete that post. By confirmation your post will be deleted.
