You mean, do something about it after adding too much turpentine?

Or is it coming out of the tube too thin?

Or do you nee REALLY thick paint?

If you add a few drop of water to your paint, and grind them in carefully, the consistency changes (it is safe though). The paint gets more matte, less flowing and the strokes will stand as you put them.

Let it sit for a while until some of the oil comes to top. Carefully pour it off. Then mix. If still too thin, do it again. The more liquid you remove the thicker it will be. This is perhaps the only way to remove it and still be able to use paint.

Hi there, if your talking about house paint (oil) the only way to thicken the paint if it was thinned too much is get the paint as cold as possible or add the same paint from another can and try to get as much of the pigment from the bottom of the unthinned can into the thinned one mix well back an forth.I've been in the business almost 35 yrs. The only time I run into that problem is when it is over thinned or it is not stirred properly. It will work as long if it's not too thin.
