Day by day comes to me in wailing,
Which drives joy away from me,
Right from my beginning: The very start of thing, my beginning!
The peace I ever wanted couldn't be,
I became isolated under a cruel eye outworn,
O! I prefer to stay away because of the home's sway,
My face always looked forlorn,
Having spent my days in sighing and dismay,
I am so weary by this daddy-mummy's misery,
Looking for comfort, I ran to the Church,
Where I can have a little merry,
Where can you ever find such.
Could there be ease,
Yes, I need not home pieces, but peace.
