I always thought that one day I would have super powers. Always trying to stop time, make things catch on fire, or perhaps maybe no one see me with this invisibility. It was hard cause I was the smallest boy in school. In elementary when I was in fifth grade the first graders were taller than me. When I was in eighth grade the 6 graders were taller than me, and my senior year I just accepted it when the 8 graders came to visit and they too were taller than me.
Besides being small boy who mother would smother him "oh no you get hurt if you do that" his mom would always say, but where would I be if I never took any risk. It was time to get my powers but first I had to destroy my body. When I was born I was given a virus by a evil doctor called Vih. He had secretly made this virus in his lavatory and distributed millions of doses. On top of that the blood had another virus called Cpeh that was dormant for almost few decades but that another story for later
I was about five when I just got my first symptom of the virus. My parents and older twin sister were worried just like the other millions of other families. Everyone around me who got the virus was wasting away. When here is a glimmer of hope...a boy who is five years old and surviving with no treatment. Dozen of doctors visited me every hour when I was a kid. They all wanted my blood. And the first times when I was actually really afraid of needles I had to be held down by nine doctors. two on each limb and one holding my five year old head as I kicked and scream, cried and yelled for my parents and sisters help but they did nothing but watch and cried.
That how my life started but the beginning started when I was thirty three. millions of people died from the virus but over time it was semi controllable and treatable. It was a few decades later and that's when people started to change one they got cancer. Many more died but not as many because technology and medicine has been booming cause the Vih rush-A pledge to cure Vih and many other virus has stop and cure a ton. But once cancer wave hit everyone with the vih virus, everything started to changed for the infected.
After all the cancer treatments it was a few years later when I receive phone call from my old doctors office. "hey a doctor came in looking for someone saying he had a possible cure and would like to talk to you." little to my knowledge it was one of the leading doctors in the Vih virus epidemics. Doctor X. Doctor X said hey we have a experiment we would like you to participate in. So far we tested it on animals and your our first human test. First we are gonna extract your stem cells. Then we will genetically modified each cell using a lenti-virus. a harmless dormant virus that like totally programmable and will duplicate into each stem cell. Then I will have to give you chemo again, to make room for your new stem cells.
The process took about a month. There was a slight complication in the beginning where my body was rejecting it with a high fever and then I broke out of it by morning and was okay for the rest of the month. It was about a little under a year when I noticed. I had super powers.
Which brings us to today. The crypto-virus overloads modified everyone else bodies and now we in a war of mutants. I'm trying to fight them off but I need your help. Only more upvotes can help me fend off these mutant overlords. Help me so you can read DAY 2
