Coffee jos is one of culinary nyeleneh in Jogja which is very famous among tourists outside of Jogja. This culinary is actually a regular coffee in general, but has a unique way of presentation. A ready-to-serve black coffee is served in a glass and then put a hot charcoal bolt of red coals. This drink is called coffee jos because when charcoal is put into hot coffee make a sound 'joss' so many who call it with the term coffee jos.
The charcoal used to make this coffee is not just any charcoal. Charcoal used is a special charcoal clean and only used one-time use only. The specialty of this jos coffee is the flavor and aroma brought from the dipping of hot coals into the coffee. This jos coffee can be found in angkringan-angkringan located north of Tugu Jogja station. Of course, tourists can visit this angkringan at night until the early hours of the day.Mie Lethek
Mie lethek is a noodle produced by the people of Srandakan, Bantul regency. The origin of his name, namely 'lethek' which means dirty. But the noodle is not a dirty noodle, but its appearance that looks dirty or dull. Mie lethek is made with basic ingredients tapioca flour and dried cassava.
The specialty of this noodle lethek is from the way the processing is processed traditionally and without the use of dyes or preservatives. This form of noodle lethek resemble similar vermicelli with more chewy texture and thicker. Problem taste, noodle lethek this no doubt and deserve dubbed as culinary nyeleneh in Jogja. Mie lethek is usually processed into fried noodles lethek or bakmi lethek stew. Mie lethek this much can be found in the area of Srandakan and traditional markets in Bantul.
