ASEAN Community Councils
At the twelve ASEAN Summit in Jauanary 2007, the Leaders decided to establish an ASEAN Community by 2005. The ASEAN Community is comprised of three pillars, namely, the ASEAN Political-Security Community, ASEAN Economic Community and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community.
ASEAN Community Councils include ASEAN Political-Security Community Council, ASEAN Economic Community Council and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Council and are coordinating each other in implementing respective ASEAN Community Blueprints in a timely and steady manner.
In Myanmar, the Ministry of Foregin Affairs has organized coordinating meetings with respective ministries with a view to implementing and characteristics and action plans of the ASEAN Political-Security Community Blueprint. In the same vein, the Ministry of national Planning and Economic Developement and the Ministry of Culture have also organized coordinating meetings with relevant Ministries in order to facilitate the actions and characteristics and action plans of the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint respectively.
As ASEAN is currently striving to build plans of the ASEA Communitly by 2015, Myanmaris also implementing the three communities in a timely and comparable manner.
