Looking for the sea - MypictureDay Submission

I've been in a business trip in Izmir a few days ago. Business and pleasue combined made these days great. Before and after work, I've tried to cherish every day light moment.
This was the view from my hotel room, left-right:

The sea was right there, a few steps away, I could see it, I could smell it. So off I went for a walk on the cliff. This wasn't so simple as it seems because I walked a few kilometers before I found a place where I could cross the street to the beach. I stopped for pictures along the way:

I've finally made it when the sun was going down. It totally worthed the long walk:

I've made these pictures with my Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone.
Thank you for walking with me.

It was my second time in Izmir, also. First time was long time ago, in 2003. I needed more time to visit, but I enjoyed it anyway, it's beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad my pictures brought you nice memories.

Very beautiful pictures!

Thank you, Marius!

Looks like a really nice and calming time! The pictures have a certain calmness over them, maybe it's due to the weather and skies. Hope the job-part was also relaxed :)

It's interesting that you mention the calmness. Yes, I guess it's because of the weather too, but I think it's more than that. I actually talked about that with my colleagues, it seemed to us that Turkish people are more calm than us, Romanians, we are more stressed, agitated and always in a hurry. I'm so glad this state of calmness transpires through my photos.

That's interesting indeed :) I've been in turkey only once, many years ago, and I remember the weather just being really calming. I was at some tourist area along the southern coast.
