Yeah..so it was.it has come and gone,but the effects will never be forgotten.The december retreat that held from 22nd through to 25th really taught me alot and at the same time not leaving me blessings to go home with.More of the lessons i learnt was actually due to the fact that i ushered..
During my ushering,oh my God,i saw drama coupled with some sort of amusemnt.I divided the camp into three sections:the front,the middle and the back role.The front was full of people that mean serious business,they were always at atlert,responding to every details of the man of God's prayer.
Officiating in that area was not stressful at all,for most(if not all)were spiritually minded.Now comes the middle role.This is the ideal picture of the biblical mixed multitudes!!!The one you can apply this popular saying:many are called but few are chosen!!!!They were actually a mixed multitude of serious and unserious folks.The ones closer to the front were kind of attentive and less troublesome,while ones to the back were trouble makers and shooters.They can make noise for africa.I was very unfortunate to be involved in drama with one of them.I nearly cried that day,for every single effort i made to tell the guy to be quite while the message was going on was utterly fruitless.I started wishing that day had not come....it was really terrible.
Now comes the back bencher!!!Oh mine..these were the gangs of facebookers,snapchaters and such likes.Again and again,the ushering department were constantly bombarded with complaints from them.They were funny sets of people.please if you are reading and you use to sit at the back of the church to give ushers like me a load of headache,please and please repent so that we can render our services in joy and not with tears and regrets as i experienced during the retreat.
Well,my experience at the retreat was not totally awkward and bad,i had alot of nice and great experiences.
I met new and old friends especially the ones that are retreatically(if there is any word like that)possible to see--i mean the ones that retreat only creates the opportunity for you to see.Also,i had alot of encounter,divine encounter!!!When preparing for the retreat,i told God about a certain need,as the Lord would have it,that need was met exactly at the retreat.
Finally,if you are preparing for any church program please know that mixed multitudes are coming,and as such you have got to be careful how you keep your things,for in the just concluded retreat,a good number of phones and other items were properly taken care of by some wickedly nice guys(you know what i mean)
The retreat has come and gone but i wont forget all the wonderful experiences i had at the retreat!!!
