The mystery of Jesus: By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. John 7:39

The mystery of the Kingdom of God is also the mystery of Jesus and about this spiritual kingdom, Jesus told us several things: "My kingdom is not of this world" John 18:36, "The kingdom of God is in your midst" Luke 17:21.
And in the Gospel of John, more precisely when Jesus taught during the Jewish festival of huts, we see a more precise proclamation of what this mysterious kingdom means, the kingdom is the free action of the Holy Spirit with his spiritual gifts, his perfections, on men.
In the festival of the huts in the times of Jesus, the journey through the desert to the holy land was commemorated, the harvest was appreciated, and a special request was made for the rain that was so necessary to live; this is why Jesus announced the Kingdom as a fountain of living water with these words:
"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, ´Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.´ By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified" John 7:37-39.
As Jesus also taught the Samaritan woman in a metaphorical way when she was looking for water from a well, the spirit is that living water, which renews our hearts, and gives us the grace of wisdom and eternal life; with a specific purpose, to renew and perfect all of God's creation. But also Jesus told us that to be blessed by the spirit of wisdom, we have to believe in him, because he is the "son of man", the personification of the perfections of God. The Kingdom of God is ultimately that transforming force of man and society, which took shape from the fulfillment of the promise made by Jesus, the feast of Pentecost.
