Can you see them - 2 Male Nyala Antelope

We were going on a day walk in the bush in Sondela Private Game Reserve in South Africa when we almost walked right past these two young Nyala bulls. Their camouflage was so good in this thicket.

In a previous post I posted a picture of a female Nyala which looks completely different to the male.

This is a medium sized antelope that likes thick bush near water. Only the males have horns which spiral and grow rather long and are sharply pointed. They make a very effective defensive weapon.

Both the male and female Nyala have their own magic beauty which instantly draws a liking for them.

Certainly amoung the most beautiful of our antelope.

I went to Sondela a few years back, it was amazing. The animals would come right up to cottage and eat from your hand, it was a great experience

Why are they not frightened? They seem to be as interested in you as you are in them. One of them doesn't even bother to get up. Amazing, lovely picture.

I was on the same walk with capecobragen, we only saw them when the one Nyala stood up. I took the photo just in time before they ran away The child in the photo is capecobragen' brother (5 years old at the time.

Wow...I love antelope

Is great beautiful photo, I also watch on national geographic south Africa beauty.

Aren't they scared of humans? They are so close ! Thanks for sharing...

At first glance, the cat on the floor may have caught your attention, but what about the wall?29027907_1105728202902420_5260282833821237248_n.jpg

That is a lot of cats. There are two cats on top of the wall. One is just facing the other direction
