A kind of unique coconut fruit is called coco de meer, this unique fruit is said to exist only in one country alone, many years ago, when extraordinary large seeds were stranded on the islands of the Maldives. Myths circulate about its origin. Some argue it comes from a subject under water. So, it's named Coco De Mer, or coconut sea.
However, the truth was finally encountered in the mid-18th century. This mystery seed comes from the basic kind of palm found only in the Seychelles, a small cluster of islands in the Hindi Ocean. The greatest density of Coco De Mer is found in Vallee de Mai, on the island of Praslin.
Coco De Mer has lived for hundreds of years. One interesting fact about Coco De Mer is that, there is a male and a female staple. For females to bear fruit, it must be cut by Coco De Mer male.
So the adult principal of both sexes must be present for species to survive in the wild. The fruits of Coco De Mer ladies are really one of a kind. At that point it looks like a big, green heart. But inside is the seeds of two large cross sections that can weigh up to 20 kg.
Some fruits have more than one seed. This case does not bother that Coco De Mer has triumphed into The Guinness Book of Records as having the greatest seed in the world. Watching this collection of plants lay like a miracle of creation.
The case also places a somewhat precarious situation, for the resident of Vallee de Mai great, though, no mangasa is reported from the fall of this fruit. However, there is a wisdom not to visit Vallee de Mai during the noisier weather.
