Me & BigBoyBubba Saw Our Best Bobcat This Morning

I did not have my phone so no pictures, but it was pretty cool. Big fat healthy bobcat, looked at least 30lbs & the same relaxed gait you see from wild lions & tigers on the nature shows. Once he realized we were following him he got sneaky, but most I’ve ever got to see of one so was exciting.

Looked a lot like this, but bigger

Back when I used to eat a lot of rabbit, I shot a bobcat that was hanging out in my favorite abandoned old orchard. He was getting more rabbits than me, and I got tired of. They are beautiful creatures. I felt kind of bad afterward, and even worse when a game warden showed up and forced me to thaw it out to prove it wasn't a lynx.

Sounds like a simple matter of the food chain, but I would probably feel bad as well. That is a good bobcat story for sure. I think the local bobcats probably stay out of my yard for the most part because of my dog. There’s lots of bunnies, the dog is to slow to get em

The jerk wanted to sit in my kitchen while it thawed, but I made him go sit in the truck.

Average body temperature for a dog is 101.2 degrees.
