I went to the historic area of my little town of Ellicott City, Maryland today to take some shots along the Patapsco River. Ellicott City is a colonial era mill town and also was the first stop on the Baltimore and Ohio rail line. The train station, now a museum, is the oldest surviving railroad station in the U.S.
You can see the result of the two record breaking floods of 2016 and 2018 all along the river. The trees along the edge have had their roots exposed and many have tumbled into the strong current.
It was nice to see the daffodils blooming in the little park along the edge of the river.
There were also some rock cairns that someone built alongside the daffodils.
It was a nice place to hang out with my camera for the nice weather this afternoon. It seems that spring has sprung. 😁
