Colville National Forest
In my tent this morning at 4 am I was woken by the sound of thunder, to which I quickly put the rain fly on my tent and went back to sleep. It rained off and on with lots of thunder and lightning and around 7 am I was sitting in my truck with my coffee and heard the big drops of rain. In the sunlight in the middle of the image is where the rain is glowing. The tree cover kept a good amount of the rain from hitting the ground until drops fell from the branches.

Thank you! Between the tent, my truck, and under the tree canopy it wasn't too bad. Fast moving thunderstorms are pretty common over the Kettle Crest mountain range. Plus having 1 bar of 4G at the campsite meant I could check the radar and see the rain heading our way.
The GIF doesn't show the beard moss that is coating so much of the sub canopy are , some trees were littered with it. Walking through a few area during the rain is felt like a rain forest for sure with all the beard moss in the trees.
