Hi Steemers.....So we've been planting trees in a patch of derelict land left from the old cement quarry that turned the land into dust. Fast forward a year and nature starts kicking back. One week of monsoon season and life springs back into action. We planted Moringa trees of the African variety (aprox. 700 trees) for their extreme tolerance to drought and yet endless uses and benefits. We slashed back the invasive Neem shrubs to give our little guys a head start. Our idea was to let the flora do it's thing but we wanted to pepper in some useful trees. But my highlight of the day was finding this little champ, a flat necked chameleon. We had come across shrews, bush hares and puff adders but this guy was mesmerizing to look at. After much adoration we took him to the mature bush nearby and he coolly set off up a tree branch. Check it out...
