I know you know that Elephants are large mammals. And also they are of the family Elephantidae and the order Proboscidea. only Three species are currently recognised : the African forest elephant the African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana), (L. cyclotis), and the Asian elephant (Elephas maximus). They are scattered throughout sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. the only surviving family of the order Proboscidea is Elephantidae ; other, now extinct, members of the order include deinotheres, gomphotheres, mammoths, and mastodons.
