The 2 Queens continue to work together.
Here they are communicating with each other.
This type of interaction lets me know that all is well with them.
This species seems very active with the upkeep of the young.
I would have thought that they would sit back and just lay eggs in pampered luxury.
They seem to have very erratic movements as a group.
Their antennae and feet communication are done in short and rapid bursts.
Other species operate with a more regal flair.
If there is a small bump of the antfarm, or a lid opened, they with scurry around frantically trying to identify the potential threat.
I found small moments to just enjoy watching them.
Some tubing gets loaded with pupae in the morning, then cleared during the day and then refilled in the afternoon. The tubing must provide some good moisture and temperature levels.
And a boiled lolly didn't last long. Well blackcurrent. The lemon is too bitter.
Nice pictures, what species are these?/
