Sustainable living with Permaculture

in nature •  7 years ago

I first learn about this concept on Permaculture a few months ago when a friend of mine told me the concept of a food forest. This really capture my imagination as far as sustainable ecosystems for development.

After further research on youtube I found out this:

It help me understand the concept and nature of it all. How to read the earth formatinon and water ways to optimize the generation of plants that can produce food for humans. Beautiful idea that is worth spreading.

open source software is to IT what permaculture is to nature.

Love Geoff Lawton and Bill Mollison, and have for quite a long time. Mollison is an incredibly unique mastermind who has educated actually a large number of others how to effectively function with their territory, and with nature, to make a self-maintaining framework that is much stronger and beneficial than run of the mill cultivating frameworks.
A debt of gratitude is in order for this post.
This is the framework that we are initially phases of executing on our place. It bodes well than the way it is right now being done, and can be effectively scaled up, so nourishing the planet is basically no longer an issue.

Permaculture can save the world! It's not so much 'sustainable' ecosytems rather Permaculture is about 're-generative' ecosystems! One of the main tenets of the philosophy.

Love Geoff Lawton and Bill Mollison, and have for years. Mollison is an amazingly original thinker who has taught literally thousands of others how to successfully work with their land, and with nature, to make a self-sustaining system that is far more resilient and productive than typical farming systems.

Thanks for this post.

This is the system that we are in the beginning stages of implementing on our place. It makes SO much more sense than the way it is currently being done, and can be easily scaled up, so feeding the planet is simply no longer an issue.

Thank for your comment, greatly improved my post about the whole permaculture movement.

Food forest are getting plentiful here on the Big Island. It helps that we have grow seasons all year long.

Would love to learn about your experience with it, and watch its beauty.

I have actually worked in a "food forest." I do have a backyard garden. A friend of mine leased some property to do a full blown food forest but she had problems getting help with it, so she had to give it up. Growing your own food can be quit the challenge.

Got something new to look into, thanks!
