Consider A Tree For A Moment!

in nature •  8 years ago

Today was a beautiful afternoon and spending it inside my house would be such a sin. After a few very busy days, when I was attending TD Edmonton Jazz Fesival, I was committed to spend the free time in a more relaxing way - in one of the many parks Edmonton has to offer.

There I have noticed a very special tree, the larch tree.

I do not spot them often like spruce trees or the most common deciduous species. The most interesting thing about the larches is that they lose their needles in the autumn, even though they are conifers. Hopefully the autumn will not rush to visit us for a while ;)

Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.

Nice shot.

Thanks :)

Have you ever notices that trees are fractals?

Think about it.

A twig is just a smaller branch, while a branch is just a smaller limb, and a limb is just a smaller trunk. It goes from macro to micro, reflecting itself in smaller and smaller sections.

I know it doesn't pertain heavily to your initial idea, but I just think it's such a cool way to look at trees and wanted to share xD

Thank you for your opinion. It is a nice point of view!

Thanks : D

It is amazing to think about how the most outer shell of the tree trunk was once a little stem. Mind blowing.

Such is the nature of life

Beautiful picture and deep thoughts... Its also so cool that you like jazz! :D

Thank you! Even if do not take much time to write long stories all the time, I like to connect photography, music and poetry or quotes. I like music in general, especially live performances.

It' is beautiful Tree. Thanks for sharing.

You are welcome and thank you for stopping by.

All trees are special. :)

Oh definitely. However, the ones I do not see every day are a bit more special to me.

Great quote from Joyce. I heard her speak a few years back at a Hillsong Conference in Sydney. She's a great communicator.

Its a good day for trees in my feed!

I saw this beautiful one earlier in @sroka87 post:

Beautiful post! Sometimes we have to just stop and enjoy the beauty of life despite its complexities!

Yes I agree, I really needed this. Today will be another busy day as it is Canada's 150 anniversary today. Celebrations everywhere. But at least I have a day off.

Yay to a day off! I hope you enjoy it :)

Nice shot :)

Beautiful!
