The story of this animal is often heard in the villages.
It is one of the inhabitants of bamboo groves, so its name, here, is associated with the habitat. And because it looks like a tiger, although small, so it's called, here, a bamboo tiger.
Unfortunately, many people who live in the villages claim to have never seen it since a long time.
I was lucky to see this cute animal, which is scientifically named Pardofelis marmorata, in a zoo in Aceh.
