Waterfall "Seven Sisters" . Norway .

in nature •  6 years ago  (edited)

Along with the waterfalls "Bridegroom" and "Fata Bride" is the main attraction of the Geirangerfjord (in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2005), is located 280 kilometers north-west of Oslo. The legend tells of a Viking who came to get married to beautiful sisters with a veil in their hands. Appearing the beauty of the girls, the Viking froze in frenzy and indecision, turning into a waterfall "The Bridegroom". "Fata" remained on the next cliff, and the "Seven Sisters" continue to show off before the Viking on the opposite shore. The most beautiful waterfalls in May-June, when the glacier formed over the winter begins to melt.
