Taking Back our True Aspirin

The Willow tree bark has been used for centuries as a pain reliever and fever reducer. The active ingredient in the medicine made from willow bark is called salicin, and that is the substance that was isolated to make aspirin, but it is much better than a pill because it also possess so many other substances that are good for your health and don`t harm your body.
Chewing on a young willow twig offers simple pain relief and can reduce a fever. It is a native tree of North America and it is of great importance for indigenous cultures, having so many uses. Some of them in the use of basket making and other crafts, such as dream catchers.
