I've been privileged to see Giraffes (fairly) up close, though in captivity rather than in the wild.
They really are beautiful creatures and it would be a huge loss should they become extinct.
It was worrying to learn that their number has plunged by more than 50,000 in 30 years and largely due to us Humans..again.

How many animals need to become extinct before humanity learns to take action to prevent these disasters from reoccurring?
