My Raccoon Experience
A while back maybe a month ago.I came home late from work it was 4 am. Tired cranky had to deal with a false smoke alarm. My neighbor friend Mike comes up to me asked if I had a ladder. I thought this was an unusual request at this time until he took me to the Metal Garbage bin. Huddled in the corner were the cutest scared baby raccoons they were really freaked out and scared. Mama was on the fence helpless to assist them. With care I went and got my stepladder that was perfectly designed for such an occasion we backed up and waited. I talked with them told the in loving compassionate voice that we would help them ,not to be scared. Sure enough a little while later carefully one of the raccoons used it to escape its trap. Then a little while later his or her sister /brother followed suit. When they were on the fence you could tell they were very happy and greatly relieved they both turned chattered in Raccoon what I believe was a thank you. The Mother also in the distance when her young ones joined her gave them both a looking over and with her hand touched them with love. It was purely spectacular the entire event/experience. Which now at Christmas time, I am thinking about that experience and heartfelt connection it left on me, reminding me of our connection to all. The importance of assisting one another in need no matter how small, because a small gesture can feel huge to those in need, which for me is a profound experience that lifts me up. Merry Christmas Everyone.💖💖
