Although the zoom lens is currently in its prime, prime lenses continue to enjoy deeply rooted popularity. Despite having a fixed focal length, prima lenses boast of quality that overcomes these losses, some of which are "bokeh effects", "free shake images" and "sharp images". Here, I will focus on the prime lens "effect", and explain techniques on how this technique is used to capture portraits, popular genres in photography.
