I love Moths there so Cute with the fluffy little heads :-) In our last house we had lots of 'Elephant Hawk Moths' but I haven't seen any big ones for several years. After a quick internet search i identified it as a 'Privet Hawk Moth' which is the largest UK native Hawk Moth with a wingspan of between 9-12cm! Hidden under its wings the abdomen and back wings are striped with beautiful Pink and Black. They are nocturnal and eat nectar from strongly scented flowers like privet, honeysuckle, lilac, and holly. They are common in the southern half of Britain and prefer to live in Woodland hedgerows and Coastal Scrub.

"Nothing Beats Mother Nature" :-)
