Massive Pod of Humpback Whales Feeding.

Hello Steemit ... While on a fishing trip in Alaska we were lucky enough to film this huge pod of Humpback whales lunge feeding. Lunge feeding is when the whale dives down beneath a school of fish and rises to the surface with its mouth wide open. Once it reaches the surface it will swallow and separate the fish from the saltwater and exhales the excess water. Their diet consists mostly of krill and small fish. Adults range in length from 39–52 ft and weigh about (79,000 lbs). Humpbacks typically migrate 16,000 miles a year. This community feeding event with such a large group of whales was an amazing site to witness. Hope you enjoy ;)
