An odd thing happened on my way home from work last night and I’d like to show you so that you can see what I see as you walk with me and I do my best not to get attacked by wild dogs in the process.
Secretly I wonder if you’re all getting use to the oddities that cross my path on a fairly regular basis.
This leaves me no choice but to open with this great tune that was written by Tony Hazzard in 1969.
(This was posted to YouTube by TheRecordNut on June 13, 2013.)
I caught The Fox On The Run (which is also the name of the song) from the side of the road and I followed the pack for a short distance.
I was passing through the small rural village of Frankford, Ontario when I spied all the shenanigans taking place.
I decided to stop and take a few photos because this is a rare event.
It’s the first time in my life that I have ever witnessed this occurring in real time.
This is a vixen (a female Red Fox) and two kits (baby Red Foxes).
I’m guessing that these babies are about 2 months old. It is rare to see these wild animals playing out in the open.
I welcome your comments and I invite you to follow me on my journey...sometimes we will have to trot to keep up with Mother Nature when she’s on the run. ;)
PS: Stay tuned for part two, The video footage.

Yes. It is an amazing catch of time for you and for us since you have shared it with us.
It has occurred to me, that special happenings and special delights will be given to special people.
Unique only to them
I leave those words to you and other readers to think about.
You are sliding back to the good ole past years in song.
I have been taking the rocket route for the last day or two. Ha
Our roles have switched.
I know it is nothing more than a cycle of time.
Nearly all aspects of life have swings from one extreme to the other.
We could be witnessing such a time of transiting now.
Just a guess.
We wait and watch for the revealing.
Thank you
Francis

This experience was a true gift. I was stunned to see it happening in decent daylight.
The little kits were playing just like new puppies do. They were really fluffy and so darling. I had to keep reminding myself that these creatures are wild animals.

Yes they can! (I hate that I know this and that I'm going to share this on the blockchain...Hahaha!)
Here goes:
When a vixen is in heat, she screams like an adult female and like she's being brutally murdered.
It's a blood curdling sound...worst then my own screaming. HAHAHA!

Haha, that music fits quite well while reading the post :P I have never seen anything like this! I've probably seen like 2 foxes throughout my lifetime, but no little ones, LOL. Nice catch! They probably didn't even notice you were taking pictures of them, haha.

Thank @trendo!
These little ones were so cute...it was all I could do not to roll around in the field with them.
If I had let them, they would've come right up to me...too young to fear humans, yet and their Momma was keeping a close eye on all of us. ;)

Haha, I'm sure they would play with you. My friend once told me, when he was living in another country, a bunch of foxes would come close to his house. He fed them quite a few times and then they started getting closer and closer, until the foxes even let him pet them. I guess that's kinda cool, hehe.

That's a very cool story. I think foxes belong to the canine species and it wouldn't surprise me at all, if they also make for loyal companions.

You are right @sheikh27. Urban sprawl is stealing their natural habitat.
I was lucky to get to see it. ;)

Hi @abontikazaman!
Yes, these are wild animals which can be dangerous if sick or threatened.
I respected them and kept my distance. I used the zoom feature on my phone to capture the close up photos.
