Humpbacks in the Pacific Northwest

Humpbacks are one of the largest cetaceans that we encounter in the waters off Vancouver Island. These gentle giants were almost hunted to extinction till the 1960's. Thankfully their numbers rebounded to the point that we see more and more off the waters of Victoria every year.
To be able to take guests out and see these amazing creatures in their home is what makes my job the best in the world! Enjoy the photos that I have taken
