The descending cluster (lat. Cýcas revolúta) is an evergreen tree of the genus Cycadite, the most famous species of this genus.
In total, there are currently about 200 species of cycloids on the Earth, united into 10 genera.
Its homeland is subtropical Japan. The photo has a female plant.

The practical significance of cycads is small. Long since they are used in food. The starch of the heart, the bark and endosperm of the seeds is used to make pasta and sago grains.
