These lakes constitute one of the unique and stunning terrestrial ecosystems that, day after day, assure us of the beauty of nature on our planet and alert us to the importance of preserving them.
The volcanic mount of Killimto is located on the island of Flores in Indonesia, close to the northern part of Australia, and is based on the summit of three stunning lakes, called Lake Mount Killioto.
These lakes were discovered by Dutch geologists between 1914 and 1915, distinguishing them from different colours despite being close to each other and being the result of the same volcanic activity,
It is more interesting that their colors change occasionally and no one can predict when this color changes.
